Visited this lovely sight for two weeks. The house has good standard. It was clean, and had all the things we needed. Good sized bedrooms with aircondition. Nice living room and kitchen. Two bathrooms. Very nice grill with eating area. The pool was excellent for our family. It´s cleaned once a week. The owner was easy to contact, and very helpful. The area is quiet, and the small town of Milatos is cozy. Not to many tourists. Here you also will find a beach. …
From the day of our arrival my husband and I and our 2 teenage daughters spent a wonderful 2 weeks stay at this beautiful, clean, spotless villa. Both bedrooms open out onto a very spacious patio, and of course the amazing infinity pool. The views are indeed breathtaking. There is plenty of wardrobe space in each bedroom, Wifi, air conditioning, quality towels and bedding, a spotless and spacious bathroom, and adequate fridge, kettle facilities, with plates, cutlery, cups etc. A very nice touch having water, wine, beer as a welcome in the fridge. The seating around the pool is perfect, endless views to enjoy. Andrew and Maureen are perfect hosts. They provide the most amazing breakfast each morning, Andrew is an oracle of information! Milatos is a quiet village with a handful of tavernas and shops on the sea front. We enjoyed trying different tavernas in Milatos, Sissi, and ventured into the hills to taste more traditional food and dancing!. A car is essential. We enjoyed visiting different places including Agios Nikolaos, Elounda, Plaka and the famous Spinolonga. We would always look forward to returning to cool off in the pool each afternoon however! Thank you Andrew and Maureen for making our holiday a special one. We would most definitely recommend a stay at Villa Marina luxury B & B.

A perfect stay, wonderful villa, beautiful setting, highly recommended.
We have just come back from Milatos heights and it was everything we could of hoped for and more for our trip to Crete. We were met on arrival by the owner to show us around and give us the key, the villa is brand new and absolutely immaculate and has all the mod cons you could possibly need, they have thought of everything! Clean linen and towels were provided during our stay. The view is superb and situated in a great position for sightseeing. We looked at many other places to stay but this is by far the best, you cannot go wrong staying here. There are plenty of great tavernas close by all which serve great food. Highly recommended! …
Villa Chrisi Petra Featured on channel 4 Homes by the med
Highly Recommended - we'd stay again
We stayed as 2 couples for 10 days in September and loved it. We last visited the western part of Crete 25 years ago so wanted to visit the eastern part and weren't disappointed.
Villa Chrisi Petra is situated in a rural location at the top of a hill on the road from Milatos to Sissi with wonderful panoramic views down to Milatos beach and harbour, across to the sea and up to the mountains. We never tired of looking out across the countryside, particularly from our bedroom balcony, sometimes spotting vultures soaring above the distant mountains and taking in the scents of the natural vegetation particularly after it rained once.
On arrival, Chris and Pete met us, showed us round, explained the "do's and dont's" and provided an extensive welcome pack including the necessary beer and wine. They couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The villa is as described on the website - well maintained, comfortable and well equipped with everything you'll need. We particularly liked the American-style fridge freezer which dispensed ice and chilled water, and the built-in BBQ which cooked to perfection, plus the lovely pool. The air-conditioning was also very welcome and useful when we closed the windows at night to avoid noise from the nearby road which was surprisingly busy at times. We only saw one mozzy during our stay.
As other reviewers have said, a car is necessary unless you like long walks to Milatos or Sissi which are 5 and 10 mins away by car. We loved to wander around the old village of Milatos and eat at the typically Cretan tavernas around the harbour and next to the seashore. Sissi is more developed (but not touristy) with shops, supermarkets and a very challenging 18 hole crazy golf course. The villa is also well located to visit Aghios Nikolaos, Spinalonga and Knossos which are 40 mins by car, or to explore the traditional Cretan villages and monasteries dotted among the spectacular mountains and olive groves.
Thank you Chris and Pete for a really enjoyable stay. We hope to return to see other sights we missed and hopefully we'll avoid the storm and hailstones next time ! …
