A stunning sea facing air-conditioned privately owned penthouse apartment offering superior self catering accommodation. Lagada Bay is located just two minutes walk from the Lagada beach, on the outskirts of the villages of Makrigialos/Analipsi, a picturesque fishing village which is one of the quieter, less developed destinations in Crete.

This apartment is in an area which is not built up and has lots of private outdoor space, it is perfect for a social distancing holiday.

Our management team have full protective equipment and are following the Greek Hotels Health Protocols for post-Covid-19 reopening.

We have changed our cancellation policy to make it easier for you to cancel or move your dates at this current time.

Our Penthouse apartment has:-

The scenery is spectacular with majestic mountains and beautiful bays. The name Makrigialos translates as 'long beach' and that describes the beach here perfectly. It is 'blue flag' accredited, and has a shallow gently sloping shoreline, with golden sands and safe shallow bathing, suitable for children of all ages.

There are also a range of water sports facilities available during the summer season. The water front is dotted with bars, restaurants, and tavernas, many of which open out onto the beach.

The area is suited to couples and families who are looking for a relaxing retreat.

Please note that there are spiral stairs leading to the apartment and roof terrace, plus steps around the complex, so whilst the property is suitable for children, this should be considered if you have anyone who are unsteady on steps.

A high chair and cot can be made available at a cost of £12.50 per week per item (i.e. £25 a week if you want both).

This penthouse air-conditioned apartment, which sleeps up to 4, designed for those looking for a little bit of luxury for their holiday.

There is a good sized air-conditioned double bedroom with a double bed, bedside tables, a blanket box with additional bedding, 2 wardrobes and a dressing table.

There is a small balcony with a coffee table and two chairs, which captures the best of the morning sun and the shade in the late afternoon and early evening.

The inside lounge/kitchen is compact, however much of your time will be spent outside on either of the two balconies or the spacious roof terrace.

The living area is air-conditioned and has a fully fitted well equipped open plan kitchen, with a single arm chair, a double sofa bed and a television with a built in DVD player and a small collection of DVDs and games to entertain any children if you want a quite night on the balcony with a glass of wine (or two).

There are double sliding doors opening to a large balcony overlooking the swimming pool and the amazing views of the sea and mountains. The balcony has a good size dining table with a lazy Susan at the centre with four chairs, plus a two seater sofa, foot rest and a coffee table.

The property has all the amenities you would expect to find in a well equipped apartment and it has recently been upgraded to include new linen and pillows (there are a range of pillows from soft to firm), bath sheets, hand towels and beach towels (so you won't have to waste space in our luggage) and kitchen equipment from John Lewis and Marks & Spencer, including a set of Joseph Joseph kitchen knives.

Additionally the a WiFi booster has been added to the apartment in 2016 to improve internet access.

The outdoor spaces also have new stylish furniture, parasols and low solar lighting for the roof, plus a large number of tea light holders to allow you spend time with your loved ones by candle light.

Within the ground you will find three lovely swimming pools, landscaped Gardens and a purpose built amphitheatre.You are a short 250 meter walk to the unspoiled Lagada Beach and a short distance from the centre of Makrigialos with numerous tavernas, bars, cafes and a blue flag beach offering a wide range of water sports.All the amenities needed for a relaxing holiday in tranquil surroundings for families and for those who want a quiet break.

Before you leave for your holiday we will send you a pack of information about the area and provide you with important contact details for when you are in Crete. We have a management team on site to help you with your holiday requirements. Reception is open daily (excluding Sundays in the lower season). When you arrive you will go to Reception and they will provide you with keys and any information you will require. If you arrive out of hours you have a choice of either following instructions and obtaining your key from a key lock safe or for a small fee have someone greet you at reception. The instructions for getting into the apartment are very easy.

How do damage deposits work?

If Lisa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
