Set in a safe and peaceful neighbourhood, Les Lauriers, our bright and spacious home is equipped with all the comforts and conveniences you need to relax and enjoy your holiday. A three-minute walk takes you to the largest wine cooperative in Limoux, famous for “Blanquette” – the original “Champagne”. In fact, to start your holiday off right, we’ll leave a bottle in the fridge for you! A pleasant twenty-minute stroll leads you to the centre of Limoux: the lively “Place de la République”, the medieval square surrounded by specialty food shops, bars and restaurants. In addition to being the heart of “café society”, ‘La Place’ is the site for the fêtes and festivals that Limoux hosts for more than 200 days a year, including the Winter ‘Carnaval’, the longest in Europe! Within a 20 minute drive you can explore the amazing World Heritage Site, “La Cité”, in Carcassonne; swim at Lac de la Cavayère with its Forest Adventure Park, and hiking/cycling trails; swim in the River Salz with its natural hot springs; visit the casino at Alet les Bains; enjoy free tastings of Minervois and Corbières wines. The area is steeped in history, rich in culture, and offers endless possibilities for outdoor enthusiasts! Richard Q wrote to me before posting this review and I replied, thanking him for some of the valid things he brought to my attention… which have already been dealt with. The overall tone of this review, though, misrepresents the house. One simple example: saying that the older photos (and yes, they should and will be updated) show decline, in most cases the new photos will show improvement. As an example, the upper olive tree sun patio that Mr Quantrill oddly claimed in his e-mail, “…does not exist,” had already been improved by taking out the wooden slabs which were deteriorating and putting in paving slabs; in addition, a small wire fence with trailing table grape vines has been added. In my experience, though, people tend to believe the guests comments more than the host’s response, so instead of my going on with refutations, I urge those reading this review simply to balance it against the uninterrupted string of five-star reviews from 2010 up to the comments of guests who left just two weeks before Richard Q arrived. The house had not changed its nature in 14 days.

Why can't I call Cynthia and Keith (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Cynthia and Keith (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Cynthia and Keith (the owner) a message.

If Cynthia and Keith (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
