From the owner

Le Chateau de la Vallee is idyllically set in beautiful rolling countryside.next to the beautiful Forest of Eu and nestling on the edge of the pretty village of Grandcourt. It is divided into two halves each sleeping up to 10 (4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in each wing) which can be rented separately or together, plus there's a pretty 3 bedroomed cottage sleeping up to 6 people in the grounds which can be rented with the chateau or on its own. There's also a double sofa bed and 4 extra foldout beds that we can add in to increase the total capacity to 32 if you rent all three units together. The beach at Criel-sur-Mer is just a 15 minute scenic drive away and the cities of Dieppe and Abbeville are just half an hour away, while Paris is an easy two hour drive. The Chateau and its Cottage is a fantastic property with its own heated pool which has been lovingly renovated retaining a vast array of original features without being too formal. It is furnished in a period style in keeping with its rustic surroundings and we provide lots of little luxuries often not included with self-catering rentals that make a holiday here something quite special.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
