Description

Built in 1902, our historic and antique apartment is walking distance to Madison street which is lined by wonderful restaurants, shops, and bars. We are conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from the green and blue line trains, making travel to downtown Chicago quick and easy.

The apartment has been updated but still maintains its antique and historic charm

-Four shabby chic bedrooms (one bedroom off of the master bedroom)

-Quaint kitchen with cooking/dining essentials

-Spacious living room with plenty of seating

-Updated bathroom with shower/tub combo

-Plenty of DVDs, cable, and board games

-High speed Wifi

-Pack and play and other children’s items available (request upon booking)

-Private enclosed porch overlooking backyard

-One off street parking spot out back (street parking available for short stays)

We have a beautiful, fenced in backyard with two grills, seating for 10+, a fire pit and fresh produce when in season.

The location puts you a 7 minute walk away from the green line train to downtown Chicago. Depending on traffic, you can be in the loop by car in under 20 minutes.

Forest Park offers a safe, family friendly community. There are two elementary schools steps away with two public playgrounds. Get to live entertainment, restaurants, ice cream parlors, and historic tours in minutes!

Getting around

.When you decide to head into the city, don't even bother taking a car. We are barely a 7 minute walk from the green line and less than a mile from the blue line. Just a quick train ride until you're dropped off directly downtown by the famous Chicago sign in the middle of state street shopping and right across from Millennium Park. Without traffic both O'hare and Midway airports are about 20 minutes away. By car we are about 8 miles from the Chicago loop via interstate 290.

Interaction with guest

My husband and I live on the first floor of a duplex (completely separate units with separate entrances) and can be around when needed. We want our guests to feel like this is a home away from home and will have as little or as much interaction as requested! You might see us working in the yard on the weekends. We also regularly grill and have bon fires. You are more than welcome to join or have one yourselves!
