Description

Shannelton House is located in the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside approximately 6 miles from Banff in north-east Scotland. Our accommodation is a converted steading which comprises of 3 self contained holiday apartments.

All our apartments are a "home-from-home" and kitchens equipped with everything you need along with separate bedrooms and bathrooms.

You can also enjoy a movie in our cinema room, work out in the gym or work up a sweat in the sauna.

Our Findlater and Delgatie apartments have 1 bedroom with a king size bed, shower room, and a combined kitchen/sitting/dining room. Findlater has a sofa bed so can accommodate children.

Our Tarlair apartment is a studio with a king bed, kitchen and separate shower room. It is pet friendly with a secure and private garden/decking area.

If you looking for a short break or something longer term then we would love to welcome you to Shannelton House.

Getting around

You will need a car to explore the area as we are not on a public transport link. Banff is approximately 6 miles away. There is easy access via the bus routes from Banff to Aberdeen and Inverness or further afield if you desire. There is a train station in Huntly, approx. 20 mins away. We do have various bicycles that guests (big and small) are more than welcome to use during their stay. Car parking is available on site

As we live next to the apartments, we are on hand should you need any help or advice. We love meeting new people and will only be too pleased to let you know about this beautiful area that we live in. Whatever you need during your stay we will do our best to accommodate you.

Not a lot of house rules you will be pleased to know; we do ask that you don’t deposit nappies or sanitary items down the toilet or grease down the sink as the apartments are connected to a septic tank. Please also be respectful of your neighbours and surroundings. If you are a smoker then please dispose of your butts appropriately.

Everything was perfect for our arrival and there was a welcome tray too, which was indeed very welcome!! Peace and quiet was just what we needed!!

The room/apartment was immaculate, the welcome pack was very helpful and the surroundings where so peaceful. A perfect place to take the dogs for a holiday. Plenty of walks to go and they were very safe with the garden area being fenced off. Will definitely be back for a relaxing weekend

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Scott (the owner) a message.

If Scott (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
