“La Casina” is an holidays house located in Lungarno Gambacorti, in the very historical center of Pisa, a few steps from the beautiful Church of Santa Maria della Spina.
The house is small, cozy, in an historical palace with independent entrance.
Enchanting independent apartment, it has natural stone walls, joist and sleeping loft and an iron and wood stair leading to the upper floor.
On the ground floor you can find a dining room with TV and a comfortable double bed sofa, an accessorized kitchen and the bathroom with shower and washing machine.
On the upper floor there is the bedroom, shrouded in an atmosphere of ancient times.
“La Casina” has household linen (towels, bed linen) hairdryer , safe and fly screen .
Minimal rental period required: three nights - Payment cash, bank transfer and paypal.
“La Casina” is near the most attractive areas of the city, such as Miracles Place with its famous Leaning Tower, Piazza dei Cavalieri, the San Paolo a Ripa d’Arno Church, Borgo Stretto and Corso Italia , and it is just a few steps from Palazzo Blu, seat of many art exhibitions (the last two were dedicated to Mirò and Picasso).
10 km away off you find the seaside, with comfortable and equipped beaches, and the pinewood of Tirrenia and Marina di Pisa. For those loving hills, we suggest Calci , an area made up of ancient small villages, famous for the production of an excellent Tuscan olive oil, for its Charterhouse and the Museum of Natural History, and nearby San Giuliano Terme with its SPA.
Do not miss the GIUGNO PISANO (June in Pisa) , a whole month full of historical commemorations, concerts, street parties and cultural events. Among them the following events can be enjoyed directly from the “La Casina”: La Luminara di San Ranieri (San Ranieri Candlelight – patron saint of the city) (June 16th) , the historical San Ranieri regatta (June 17th) and the Gioco del Ponte (the last Saturday of June) with the Historical Parade along the banks of the Arno River with more than 700 walks on. And then the Battle on the Ponte di Mezzo Bridge that shows the battle between the two historical teams of the city: Tramontana and Mezzogiorno.

The Tuscany region
Tuscany is known for its gorgeous landscapes, its rich artistic legacy and its influence on high culture. Tuscany is regarded as the true birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, and has been home to some many influential people in the history of arts and science, such as Petrarch, Dante, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Niccolo Machiavelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo Galilei, Amerigo Vespucci, Luca Pacioli and Puccini. Due to this, the region has several museums (such as the Uffizi, the Pitti Palace and the Chianciano Museum of Art).
Tuscany has a unique culinary tradition, and is famous for its wines (most famous of which are Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Morellino di Scansano and Brunello di Montalcino).
Six Tuscan localities have been designated World Heritage Sites: the historic centre of Florence (1982), the historical centre of Siena (1995), the square of the Cathedral of Pisa (1987), the historical centre of San Gimignano (1990), the historical centre of Pienza (1996) and the Val d'Orcia (2004). Tuscany has over 120 protected nature reserves. This makes Tuscany and its capital Florence popular tourist destinations, attracting millions of tourists every year. Florence receives an average of 10 million tourists a year, placing the city as one of the most visited in the world (in 2007, the city became the world's 46th most visited city, with over 1.715 million arrivals).
Pisa is a city in Tuscany, Central Italy, on the right bank of the mouth of the River Arno on the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is the capital city of the Province of Pisa. Although Pisa is known worldwide for its leaning tower (the bell tower of the city's cathedral), the city of over 88,332 residents (around 200,000 with the metropolitan area) contains more than 20 other historic churches, several palaces and various bridges across the River Arno.
The city is also home of the University of Pisa, which has a history going back to the 12th century and also has the mythic Napoleonic Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies as the best Superior Graduate Schools in Italy.
