There are three fishing lakes on site (permit required). Close by within 2 miles there is a shop and pub/ restaurant and the vibrant coastal resort and sandy beach of Westward Ho! just 3 miles. Ideally placed for a family break The Cottage makes a great choice.

For the more active, several major surfing beaches, golf courses, theme parks and other attractions are nearby and the South West coast path passes close by on its way into Cornwall. The beautiful cliff-top fishing village of Clovelly is half an hour by road, and the delights of Exmoor and Dartmoor can be reached in under an hour. Surf the waves, stroll through pretty villages, wander along the Tarka Trail, visit a famous garden or have some fun at one of the local theme or farm parks its all on the doorstep.
