This cozy, one-story home is located in a community with an 18-hole, par-61 golf course and is about 2 miles from the beach. Enjoy Salt Pond's amenities for a fun golf getaway or a week at the beach. There are plenty of activities for the whole family. A short walk from the house, the community center offers outdoor swimming pools, indoor pool and hot tub (only during winter), well-equipped fitness center, tennis, basketball, sandlot volleyball and more. Nearby is a launching area for small boats for access to the Salt Pond (and to the network of canals that connect to the neighboring inlets and eventually to the ocean) and plenty of tree-lined streets and paths for walking, running or biking. The golf pro shop (and grocery story) is an easy 10 minute walk.

The house is spacious throughout and newly-remodeled (2018). The family room has vaulted ceilings, bright lights and plenty of sitting room (we purchased all new furniture for this room in March 2017 and replaced all flooring in March 2018). Depending on your mood, you may choose to relax watching cable TV or DVDs on either of the two flat screen TVs, in the screened-in porch or instead you may wish to take advantage of the business center, which has a computer and printer and high-speed internet access with a wireless network.

We have 3 bedrooms, all of which have new box springs and mattresses (Feb 2017). The master bedroom has a queen bed, a large dresser and closets. Its bathroom has a shower with handles for safer access. The second bedroom has a king bed with a large dresser and closet. With a cable outlet and new television, this bedroom is perfect for kids and adults alike. This bedroom shares a large bathroom with the third bedroom, which has two twin beds and an armoire closet. The sofa bed in the living room has a VERY comfortable foam mattress.

The newly-remodeled kitchen (2018) is large and well-equipped. With early-day sun and a pleasant view of trees and the cul-de-sac, the kitchen is a nice place to be, whether you're preparing or enjoying a meal. With seating for a total of 13 (both at the table and the bar counters), the kitchen is big enough for large groups. With new granite counter tops and flooring (2018), the kitchen serves as another great place to entertain.

If you prefer to entertain elsewhere, the screened-in porch and the backyard offer nice alternatives. The 3-season porch is beautiful (remodeled in April 2016) and ideally suited as a pleasant sitting room for lively discussions or reading under the fan on the new furniture. This room offers floor-to-ceiling views to the open space and trees through crystal clear vinyl windows, which are easy to completely lower and raise, depending on how much breeze you want. The backyard has a patio with charcoal grill and plenty of space for the kids to run and play. Kids can also let loose in the cul-de-sac in the front of the house, which has almost no traffic and is within easy sight from the kitchen.

Bethany Beach is named the 'Quiet Resort' and has a family atmosphere. There are amusement parks, many great restaurants and nightclubs, and bay water activities. Rehobeth Beach is ten minutes to the north and offers discount outlet malls, more great restaurants, and tree-lined streets. Ocean City and Assateague Island are directly south.

Families or couples preferred and pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis. The check-in is Saturday for weekly rentals.

May 2022 Note: With Covid, an Amenity Access Card must be purchased for each person over the age of 16 (there may be some wiggle room with the age). There are two types of cards: (a) the card providing unlimited use of all facilities for a full week costs $50 and (b) the card providing unlimited use of all facilities for 3 consecutive days costs $25. These cards can be shared among as many people as you wish; for example, if no more than 4 from a group of 8 people plan to use the facilities at the same time, you would only need to purchase 4 cards. This information may change, so please contact the HOA for more details.
