This is a wonderful space for travelers interested in short or long-term rentals. During summer months, potentially starting in June, you would have the entire place to yourself, including a second bedroom, with the place accommodating up to four people.
Other times of the year, my master bedroom accommodates two people and I would be sharing the space with you. For guests requiring more than one bedroom, I can rent out both rooms for double the price of this listing.
My place is a 6-room unit on the first floor of a 2-family house built in the 1920s. The house is located near the Cambridge and Watertown lines in the Harvard Lawn area of Belmont, which is considered the most desirable 2-family neighborhood in town. Parking in my driveway and garage can accommodate up to three cars.
You are free to enjoy all the rooms in this rental, including the bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, den, back porch, and fitness room. The space is tastefully furnished and decorated with lots of wood furniture and African art. It has hardwood floors, a beamed living room ceiling, a fireplace, and an updated kitchen.
We are a 4-minute walk from the MBTA #73 bus line. The bus ride takes 10 minutes to get to Harvard Square in Cambridge, and then it’s a 15 minute subway ride into Boston. Or you can park up to two cars in the driveway and drive into Cambridge and downtown Boston within 10-15 minutes.
The house is on a quiet, tree-lined street with many friendly neighbors. It’s 2-3 blocks from two local parks, one which has newly-renovated tennis courts. It’s a 10 minute walk from the Fresh Pond Reservoir (great for walking around!) and a public golf course. There is also plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and shopping within a 5-10 minute walk.
There are two bedrooms. If you are sharing the space with me, you would be in the master bedroom (with a king size bed, large wardrobe, two side tables, a chair, a 50-inch smart TV with cable and a closet). I would be in the second bedroom. But if you are renting during the summer I would not be here and you would have both bedrooms. This second bedroom has a single bed. But it is a trundle bed so there is a second bed that slides out from under it, if needed. The room has a bureau, desk, side table, lounge chair and walk-in closet.
The bathroom has a tub/shower, sink and a bidet-toilet.
The kitchen has a table which seats three, large refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, and coffee maker. It is equipped with everything you will need for cooking!
The living room has seating for five with a 3-seat couch and two chairs, a and a 55-inch smart TV with cable, stereo cabinet, and Carrom table game.
The dining room is filled with antique furniture -- a table which sits four, a wine cabinet and a large side table.
The den has a fireplace, 2-seat couch, and a large desk.
The back porch has a table with seating for four, two additional chairs, and a barbecue. It overlooks a fenced yard with pretty shrubs.
In the basement is a fitness room with a StairMaster, stationary bike, multi-weight station, free weights, bench, arm curling station and a 36-inch smart TV with cable.
There is also a washer and dryer in the basement.
Lastly, I have two cats. While I keep the house well-vacuumed, this may not be the space for you if you are allergic.
You will find my home attractive, clean, functional, and well-kept up. I hope to have you stay here!
