Based on the accumulated success of our sister property 'Acorn Cottage', we are pleased to release 'Little Oaks' as our new dedicated self catering apartment.
A fully converted basement garden flat, Little Oaks has been specifically architect designed and fitted to offer comprehensive modern facilities for couples or single travellers.
Brand new rooms have been created to capture views on to the north face of Ben Nevis, with windows looking through major oak trees on to the vista beyond.
Bi-fold doors allow versatile use of the spacious kitchen and living area through to the bedroom, affording privacy or relaxed open plan living. A luxurious contemporary bathroom with large shower enclosure completes the layout, along with a walk in dressing room that provides guests with ample storage space.
With all new fixtures and fittings, we pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of accommodation, that allows our guests to relax in home comforts whilst enjoying the unspoilt beauty of the Highlands.
Facilities include dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, full central heating, wi-fi, access to washing machine.
Little Oaks is seven miles from Fort William, tucked away in the quiet hamlet of Muirshearlich. It offers the perfect base for exploring Lochaber and the surrounding areas such as Glencoe, Loch Ness, Isle of Skye and the West Coast. Whether you enjoy the white beaches of Morar Sands, sea kayaking around the idyllic seclusion of Arisaig, walking in the Munros, or high adrenaline pursuits of white water rafting in Ballachullish, Fort William - the outdoor capital of the UK has something to offer younger or older guests alike.
Take an unforgettable trip on the Jacobite steam train made famous in the Harry Potter films or take a short ferry crossing to Mull, Iona, Ardnamurchan or Skye. Spot eagles on Loch Shiel or try your hand at whale/dolphin watching near Oban. For more active visitors, the area is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise, with World Cup mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding and high ropes adventure only a short drive away.
Fort William boasts some of the most breath taking scenery in Scotland, with walking, climbing and cycling all year round. Walks are available to suit all abilities, whether it be the achievement of walking the Great Glen Way or summiting Ben Nevis, or strolling along the nearby Caledonian Canal tow path. Lochaber offers opportunities to scale Munros, or leisurely walk the areas many hundreds of miles of forestry and moorland tracks.
Enjoy a drink outside Little Oaks whilst watching the birds, you might even be lucky enough to see red squirrels visiting the feeders or a treecreeper spiralling the trunks of the ancient oaks.
Jays and Woodpeckers are regular visitors to the garden, along with deer in the colder months. If you enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Highlands, Little Oaks will give you the retreat to return to and the haven to relax in.
Little Oaks would not be suitable for guests with limited mobility due to steps from the parking area.

“Perfect retreat in the Highlands”
I stayed at "Little Oaks" the first week in July. "Little Oaks" is a brand new five star accommodation for a relaxing getaway from it all location in the Fort William area. The facilities are excellent with a light and airey space, picture windows giving stunning views of Ben Nevis and many trees and shrubs encouraging a variety of birds and wildlife. This really appealed to me. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped with large fridge/freezer, cooker and spacious worktop suitable for breakfast bar with comfy stools.The lounge is comfortable with a dividing screen which opens up the area with the bedroom. The double bed ensures a good night's sleep. There is a walk-in wardrobe which keeps travelling cases and anything else out of the main areas. The walk-in shower is large and has a handrail suitable for those who need extra assurance. Plenty of storage in the bathroom, including cupboards. Kate has really thought about the needs of travellers. She has decorated and fitted the whole cottage to a very high standard and is very welcoming and helpful on any matter to make your holiday enjoyable and troublefree. Her other accommodation "Acorn Cottage" has received many excellent reviews and she has become famous for her lemon drizzle cake which is much appreciated by all her guests and I enjoyed it too! Many thanks Kate, I left feeling rejuvenated.

We have indeed tried to think what guests need for their stay & how to best utilise the space in Little Oaks. I often find storage is at a premium on holiday, so we have tried to include as many storage solutions as possible to allow guests to unpack and relax whilst they are here. The gardens are always evolving and during the summer months with the oaks in full leaf, you feel truly in the canopy of the trees. We would hope to welcome you back to Little Oaks or Acorn Cottage, if you venture this way again.
