Great vacation for nature lovers just half an hour from the center of Athens. Enjoy the calmness, the flora and the fresh air at a wonderful villa in the north suburb of Agios Stefanos having easy access to both the historical center of the city and the golden beaches of east Attica.

Perfectly located, our villa is only 25 minutes (19km) away from the fantastic coast of Schinias, famous for its long sandy beaches and its luxuriant vegetation. In the midst of this scenic route, only 8 minutes (6,4km) from our villa, you will find the beautiful Marathon Lake. The area, known as an ancient victorious battlefield offers now the relaxing peaceful environment of a charming restaurant-café with marvelous view of the lake. The path running around the perimeter of the lake is ideal for hiking, jogging, bicycling, or just a walk to a nice spot for a picnic. Another perfect place for all these activities is the 10,000 acre Tatoi Estate where the summer palace of the former Greek Royal Family was located. This densely wooded area is the ancient Decelea and includes the Tatoi Palace, the Royal Stables and the Royal Cemetery. The estate is now open to the public, only 6,5km (14 minutes) from our villa and the route offers visitors incredible views of the city of Athens as it is located at the southeast-facing slope of Mount Parnitha. Just 27,6km (27 minutes) far from our villa you can find the historic center of the city, full of ancient monuments, sites, museums and historic buildings as the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Ancient Agora, the National Archaeological Museum and places of cultural interest as the Technopolis in Gazi, the Benaki Museum and the Megaron Concert Hall. Our villa is connected to the center of the city by public transportation as a train sets off regularly from the railway station of Agios Stefanos, which is 1,5km (2 minutes) from the villa and reaches the Central Athens Train Station – Stathmos Larisis in 26 minutes. From this station you can visit your places of interest using the subway.

The unique architecture of our villa is highlighted by the amazing 2000 sq m garden, where lush greenery combines with structure and form for a magical result. Every room is bathed in natural light and offers a marvelous view of the garden through big windows. Four rooms (living-room, dining-room and 2 bedrooms) have direct access to ample terraces equipped with outdoor furniture. The architectural character of this house is apparent in the impressive double height living-room and the atrium as a result of the asymmetrical roof. The floors, the wardrobes and the cupboards are made of solid wood of the finest quality; the furniture includes hand-curated vintage pieces and antiques, original paintings carefully selected from travels around the world, fine carpets, silver trays and gilded wall-mounted mirrors.

Nine people can be comfortably accommodated in our villa as we have a huge living-room, a fully equipped kitchen and two dining-rooms that can easily be transferred outdoors upon request. The house has a small bath with a shower on the ground level and a huge 20 sq m bathroom with a 4-person Jacuzzi hot tub on the first floor. Three of our five ample bedrooms have double beds, one has two separate single beds and one has a single bed and an office. The master bedroom is very spacious (30 sq m) and has a king size bed, a big private terrace with nice view and close proximity to the big bathroom. Wi-Fi, television, washing machines for dishes and clothes and a treadmill are also available.

As the owner of this house and responsible for communication I will be at your disposal for anything you need. I can communicate adequately in English, Greek, Spanish and German. I offer free transportation from and to the airport or the port. I can also arrange for a car and a professional car-driver or a cook if asked, but there will be an extra charge.
