Tarante is a stunning ground floor apartment that enjoys a half-acre of beautiful garden set beside the River Arun. French doors onto the deck from both the living room and bedroom give a wonderful impression of space, and bring the garden right into the apartment. 400 sq.ft. Tarante is ideal for a couple, but can accommodate a family of 4.

The apartment is attractively decorated with original artwork. In the living-room there is a leather sofa-bed, and dining for 4. TV/DVD with Freeview channels and a selection of board games. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with washing machine, microwave, fridge, double oven and hob.

The spacious bedroom has a king-size, zip link bed, which can be converted to 2 singles. An ensuite bathroom, with a bath & full height shower over. Hotel quality, hypo-allergenic bedding, towels, heating, electricity, Wi-Fi access and free on site parking are included. Extremely family friendly, travel cots, & high chairs are available upon request.

Tarante has direct access to the stunning half acre, enclosed family and dog friendly garden. With garden dining and lounging for 4, and sofa- lounge seating for 6. A charcoal BBQ available upon request. Fire Pit and seating area. Next to the river with views of Arundel Castle. Smoking permitted in the outside areas. Safety wise there is no access from the garden directly onto the riverbank, but a footpath abutting Portreeves allows easy access to the river for a scenic level stroll into town, or a glorious walk to Warningcamp and Burpham, with a great panorama to the South Downs and across the river to Arundel Park.

Discounts maybe available for over the minimum stay. Friendly owners on-site. There is a possibility of an additional ensuite bedroom for larger groups of 4-6pers. Please contact owners for further details. Well behaved dogs are welcomed there is an extra charge. All prices are inclusive of linen, towels, heating, electricity & wifi internet access. For an additional charge breakfast packs & daily housekeeping can be provided.

Portreeves is in the South Downs National Park, within quarter of a mile of Arundel town Centre with it's historic Castle, gardens & Cathedral, Wildlife & Wetlands Centre, County cricket ground, & a wealth of pubs, restaurants & cafes. However if you wish to eat in, the co-op is just 4mins. walk, plus a quality butcher, delicatessen, grocers & monthly Farmer's Market. There is a post office, doctor's surgery & pharmacy. We have some excellent take-aways which some conveniently deliver! Arundel is just 4 miles from several large supermarkets. As Portreeves is a short walk from Arundel mainline station, a car is not necessary, & there is also a nearby bus stop. Taxi's are situated at the station as well.

Just a field away from Portreeves in Arundel Lido a beautiful heated outdoor swimming pool open April - Sept. We have the Arundel Festival in August, & a variety of other events throughout the year. A multitude of lovely boutique shops & restaurants, beautiful parks including Swanbourne Lake, take a boat trip to the famous Black Rabbit Pub, or to the Coast at Littlehampton, just 4 miles away, famous for it's beach, East Beach Cafe, water-sports, & Sea Fishing. Arundel itself is centrally located in the South Downs National Park, brilliant for walking, mountain biking & Horse-riding. Just 8miles from the City of Chichester, Goodwood, & Worthing, half way between Portsmouth & Brighton, & just 90mins. from London & Gatwick.

We are a short drive of the following attractions:

Amberley Working Museum, Bignor Roman Palace, Weald & Downland Open air Museum, Petworth House, & Parham Park. Fontwell Race Course, Goodwood Race Course, Festival of Speed, & Revival & golf course. City of Chichester, Fishbourne Roman Palace. The sandy Witterings beaches, or Chichester Water Centre and Aqua Park.. Bognor Regis, & Worthing. Harbour Park, Fishers Farm, Out of Bounds, Flip Out, Drusillas Zoo, Brighton Pavilion, & Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

Arundel has a variety of fantastic independent shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, Joanne & Jeremy are very happy to recommend the best places to visit.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Joanne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
