“Extraordinary” We and our friends have returned to this Villa numerous times since 2009. We find it to be an extraordinary place. The views overlooking the valley ( and golf course) are almost indescribable The Villa is in excellent shape ( a bit "rustic") and roomy, well designed. We always take it with a rotating group of six couples which it serves well. We particularly like the placement of the pool and outdoor eating space which we use almost every night. All amenities are available and the Golf club actually has an excellent restaurant. Of particular note is the management and service team that cares for the villa and for its guests. Hard to find a more responsive and caring group . We strongly recommend this Villa and love the area of Umbria wher it is located. It is convenient to Tuscany/ Assisi, the wonderful small local hill towns such as Spello, Bevagna, Montefalco, etc. Food is excellent and the stores in Umbertide ( 15 minutes) are terrific and incredibly fresh . Strongly recommend asking Chrissie (Manager) to arrange a Chef to cook in ) Many restaurants within 40 minutes are impressive, e.g. Taverna del Lupo in Gubbio; La Taverna in Perugia, Forziere near Deruta, etc.

“A phenomenal honeymoon destination in Umbria” We spent a week of our honeymoon at Chrissie and David's having a wonderful time. They were extremely gracious hosts, and most helpful in making us feel relaxed. The cottage was perfect for two, and a welcome rest out in the country. The views were amazing, and the walks through the hills and valley made everything feel perfect. If one wanted to head out for a day trip, it's quite easy to hop on over to many medieval towns and villages (even Florence). Casa San Gabriel is a hidden gem, and it was the quintessential getaway for us. Would we go back? The answer is an emphatic - YES!
