“picturesque setting with beautiful views” La Lucertola is a beautiful place to stay. Set halfway up a hill between Pisa and Lucca it has wonderful views across local villages towards Pisa in the distance. The Villa is spacious and with tiled floors throughout is cool when the weather gets hot. It has good facilities including a plunge pool(my daughters favourite), an outside wood powered oven(perfect for pizza!) and barbecues which makes it the perfect place to relax after a hard days sightseeing! We spent many evenings on the terrace, glass of prosecco in hand watching the sun go down. With Florence, Pisa, Lucca and the Sea close it makes a great base. If you fancy eating out, there are some lovely restaurants close by with Villa Bongi (good food served on the terrace at a good price!) our favourite. We had a fantastic week there and can't wait to get back!
