“A beautiful old house (the highest house in Tarn) with spectacular views and the right degree of isolation.” Our 6th stay at Mille Founs and possibly the best yet (all so good it's hard to judge). Tranquility epitomised!! Improvements to the house this year are excellent - WiFi so essential nowadays; new satellite TV with access to BBC/ITV and good stock of DVD's - sad but comforting for cooler evenings. All pretty perfect for us......so "here's to the next time"!

“A peaceful and beautiful place to relax and unwind.” We were warmly welcomed to La Pendarie and had a most enjoyable week exploring the area (mostly on bikes) and relaxing by the stunning pool. Our hosts ensured our comfort at all times but did not intrude in any way. The gardens were beautiful, particularly the lavender alongside the pool and the extensive views fabulous........it was a really lovely place to stay.

“A week wasn't long enough !!” As we pulled into the driveway, i was sure we were in the wrong place. The pictures we'd seen didn't do it justice but thankfully, we'd arrived at our destination and it just got better from then on. Blancou is a beautifully and lovingly restored farmhouse with oodles of charm and character - both indoors and out. Set in gorgeous and well maintained gardens, with views stretching for miles in all directions, it provided us with everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable family holiday. When we arrived, the Famhouse was immaculately clean and Alison was on hand to welcome us, walk us through the house and show us where everything we'd need was. The Farmhouse (and garden) is spacious enough to allow everyone to enjoy their own space if they want to whilst, at the same time, being the sort of space that allows and encourages you to come together for social activities, such as cooking, eating and just enjoying good company. During our week, we all became table-tennis demons (there's a table tennis table there) as well as experts in identifying the various herbs that grow in the garden. On the days that we could drag ourselves away from relaxing around the pool, we made the most of exploring the surrounding countryside including the local market town, canoe-ing down the river and enjoying the spectacular views along the Gorge. At night, with no light pollution to interfere with them, we enjoyed the most beautiful starry skies. All of us were sad when our holiday came to an end. In a short space of time, we'd grown very fond of Blancou and didn't want to leave. And that's why we'll be returning next year. We can't wait :-) p.s. IF we had anything negative to say about our week, the weather could have been a little bit better BUT nobody could do anything about that and it didn't do anything to lessen our overall enjoyment.

“Wonderful property, great location.” This truly is a lovely home with lots of space for everybody, both inside and outside. The pool is wonderful and there are great views. An excellent place to unwind and yet close enough to interesting places to visit. At the same time the area offers great walking/cycling opportunities. Colin and Janet will be happy to answer all your questions. Their knowledge of the area is quite extensive. We would have loved to see the sunflowers bloom. The fields must have been beautiful.

“Fabulous house in the hills.” We had a great holiday. The house is perfect, everything you could need is there.The furniture is nice and the beds are so comfortable. Great value for money and plenty of room for 10 of us. You do need to be organised, it's quite a drive to the shops but there is quite a good choice of supermarkets. The outside area is lovely, surrounded by forest, we saw eagles, badgers and goats, very rural! Superb seating area and we loved the pool. I would recommend you take good mosquito repellent, we all got bitten. Not for you if you want to be in the middle if everything but if you want a get away from it all holiday this place is perfect.

“Excellent facilities & wonderful pool!” We've previously found it difficult to get a house where all four bedrooms are well proportioned & all have en-suite, so nobody feels like they drew the short straw. La Barabie has it all in this respect. A well equipped kitchen, big garden with a generously sized pool, BBQ & superb views top the property off. A pleasant 20 minute walk down pretty country lanes takes you to the lake or village, so easy access to bars & restaurants. Plenty more choice of picturesque villages, restaurants & markets nearby if you do want to explore in the car. This property represents good value for money & I would be inclined to say the pictures don't do justice for it's beauty & charm.

“very nice place!” The house is very nice and cosy. It is very nice to sit outside the house and the pool is also very nice. The horses and chickens were very much loved by our children. In the neighbourhood are much things to see. I would recommend this to everyone.

“WHAT A GREAT TEN DAYS IN THE COUNTRY SIDE !!!” The rental was fantastic ! Huge rooms and baths,two great fireplaces and all the modern conveniences of home--plenty of hot water---dishwasher,fridge/freezer,clothes washer The pastoral scenes from the terraces and windows were like paintings. At night,the quietness and the great number of stars was amazing! We must have taken a thousand photos of sun rises , hayfields, vineyards,cows,sheep and goats, and, of course, the magnificent views of the foot hills of the Pyrenees.As history buffs,we never tired of seeing and exploring the castles,fortified towns and churches--dating back 800 years!!! The airport at Carcassonne,a city right out of the 12th. century,was only a short drive from Le Rouget. A "must see" is the Rennes Chateau---the" Da Vinci Code" made this town famous !
