Tiny Montenegro has recently separated itself from neighbouring Serbia and struck out on its own. Set at the foot of the Balkan Mountains, Montenegro has its own character. The medieval town of Kotor has an array of pavement cafes, restaurants and attractive boutiques. By day you can enjoy a stroll through the cool, peaceful streets and sample the delights of the waterfront markets selling local produce. Lake Skadar is a National Park and a must for visitors, with excellent fishing and bird-spotting as well as some beautiful forests which have not changed in centuries.

Penthouse apartment with fantastic views
5 stars. What a view.

My review is a little late as I expected to receive a request from Holiday Lettings to provide one. I can be short and very sweet. Please read all the 5☆ reviews on the site. They are all " bang on". Communication with Mike is A1. The apartment is lovely , equipped with everything you need. It is well presented and spotlessly clean. The views are just amazing. Remote, the local agents, are first class. Montenegro and Kotor Bay are spectacular. We went a little later than we would have liked and it was very hot but we walked miles, ate and drank well, enjoyed terrific hospitality pretty much everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Family Holiday

This apartment is very spacious and clean. The views from the balconies are lovely. The local agent met us to take us to the apartment which was great as I reckon it would be nearly impossible to find on your own the first time. She also gave us very useful practical information. The pool and area was clean with good shade which was great, although it was quite noisy/busy we were always able to get beds when we wanted them. Parking was available, although we used the upper car park as the entrance to the lower was narrow and steep. Well located in a quiet area not far from the old town, while we drove the agent told us taxi were cheap to hire. All in all we had an enjoyable stay. … see more

Stunning views over Boka Bay

From the moment of booking this apartment communication with the owners, Lorraine and Eric had been exemplary. Preparations prior to our rental period helped us to immediately enjoy our two week break. Arriving at the apartment we were not disappointed with the stunning views from the extensive balcony which resembled the deck of a cruise ship, many of which we saw cruising to Kotor. A lot of thought has been put into providing everything you would need for an enjoyable break away from home. Although the pool was slightly deeper than we would normally enjoy we regularly swam in the Bay which could be accessed 5 minutes walk down the hill. We often like to self cater on holiday but the quality and proximity of superb restaurants meant that we dined out for very reasonable prices. Really enjoyable week

We travelled to Prcanj with our two daughters and I have to say really enjoyed staying in the apartment. Everything was clean and the views spectacular. The kayaking and other water activities were so cheap in Prcanj. ( 10 euros for 4 adults for one hr.) Kotor was fantastic in the evenings with a really good vibe. We visited Jaz beach near Budva twice which the girls really enjoyed and went white water rafting in the Tara canyon which was the highlight of our trip. The drive up the Serpentine Road above Kotor was breath taking as was the Zip line at the top. The only down side of the week was the very steep walk back to the apartment from Prcanj. We used the car for we didn't fancy the walk in the heat. One other piece of advice--hire a small car as the road to Kotor is narrow. Thankfully we did. … see more
Villa Stream
Two weeks in Montenegro

We had a wonderful stay at the rural and peaceful Villa Stream. The owner, Natasa, met us just after the border between Croatia and Montenegro to guide us to the villa. (Car is essential.) She gave us great tips and advice and was a local point of contact, should we need her. The WiFi dongle was a great bonus! The villa is really clean and has everything a group would need for a vacation. We drove our hire car to the beautiful Tara Canyon - where we took a zip wire over the river. We hired a skippered speedboat for a thrilling trip around the coast to the Blue Cave, which was quiet when we arrived and swam (but got busy really quickly!). Fish and seafood dishes are superb, as were the steaks that we tried. Fabulous fresh fruit and vegetables. Montenegro is a land of great contrasts and we look forward to another visit in the future. … see more
Brand new villa,close to beach and beautiful water and mountain views with pool.
Stunning Apartment with great pool!

What a wonderful apartment with all amenities, fridge, washing machine, iron, dishwasher etc. Comfortable beds and sofa. Sandra the host was lovely, baked us a cake for our arrival and a bottle of home made wine, together with water, milk, juice, jam and olives. She was very friendly and was happy to help out whenever she could. She ordered pizzas for us and put us in touch with a local taxi driver to ferry us around. The pool was a godsend as the weather was beautiful over 35 degrees everyday for 11 days, it was greatly needed and appreciated, it was like walking into a warm bath. The villa is in a pretty little village with good views to the mountains, there are tomatoes, peppers and figs in the garden which Sandra encouraged us to pick and eat. It was a lovely quiet relaxing 11 days in a beautiful place an we would love to return sometime. … see more
