“Lovely Family Holiday” Just got back from a lovely holiday at Vie Facile. The gite is (for us) perfectly located. It's peaceful and private but not isolated. The gite is very spacious, and so is the outside space. Plenty to keep the kids entertained (swings, trampoline, heated pool). The surrounding area is very nice too. Mont Castre is just down the road and is well worth a visit. The nearest town is La Haye du Puits and we were able to get all our supplies from the supermarket there and at the market (Wednesday). If you want to go to the beach I would recommend Barneville-Carteret. If you park at the car park at the end of the Route de la Vielle Eglise you have the Cap de Carteret straight ahead, a huge non-touristy beach to the right and a more touristy beach to the left. We also wanted to go to Portbail but we ran out of time. When getting presents to take home go to La Masion du Biscuits, for you've guessed it, biscuits. The owners live on site (Joanne and Sharon) and they both friendly and helpful. We had a really good holiday at Vie Facile and it's somewhere we all want to holiday at again.

“You could not find a better location and more charming, friendly & helpful hosts!” Turning into the drive leading to this delightful property instantly gives you the Wow factor! Lovely well kept gardens surrounded by farmland, peaceful setting and great buildings in an excellent state of repair. Cheerily welcomed by Debbie & Rob, given a cup of tea outside and then shown to our immaculate room (Rose). Pristine decor with none of the usual unfinished bits and pieces, nice en-suite shower room and separate loo. Lovely linen. Great view out over the fields. We opted for the evening meal and what a treat! 4 course beautifully cooked with a bottle of very acceptable wine. Debbie was happy to give us our breakfast a little earlirer than normal when we wanted an early start. We will definitely be returning to this lovely place and great people.

“Idyllic rural retreat” magnificent hospitality and fairy tale gardens with comfortable accommodation. the children played for hours in the river, and in the forests, and their dad caught an enormous fish. there is a games room and trampoline too...so they were never short of activities... such a tranquil setting with very picturesque villages to explore near by. a real haven of tranquility away from the business of life! we will be back!
