“great host” Marina greeted us with a warm welcome. She and her family live above. We were given a bottle of red wine and also invited into her home for a coffee.The apartment was clean and exactly as was described.The walk to Cavtat itself is 10 minutes ..but 15 minutes on the way home as it's uphill.There is a supermarket very close by.

“Nice appartment with a good view in sunny Cavtat, Croatia” My boyfriend and I spend 2 great weeks in sunny Cavtat in July 2012. We rented the appartment directly from Marina and Ivo via a holiday appartment booking platform in the internet. Marina even closed an official rental agreement with us upon our request. We stayed in one of the two smaller appartments, which contained one bedroom and one living room with integrated kitchen. There's a TV, a small hob, a nice couch and armchair and a table with two chairs for having breakfast in the morning, as well as a bed room with a double bed and a medium-sized wardrobe. The bathroom is very small, but has a nice shower in it and is very clean. The appartment does not offer high comfort, is even a bit noisy when the house is fully booked, but offers everything sun-seekers need in order to spend 2 great weeks in Cavtat. If you're traveling by car, we recommend it without hesitation. If elder people or small childrean are traveling with you, it can be exhausting to walk the whole way into Cavtat, as the appartment is an approx. 15-20min. walk (downhill) away from the city centre and the more attractive beaches, and the walk back to the appartment means walking uphill. The most beautiful beaches can only be reached via scooter or car. But a bus is going to Dubrovnik and also alongside the coast. Marina offered us to use one of the barbecue grills belonging to the house and also the washing machine. Having barbecue on the terrasse with this unbelievably great view to Cavtat and Dubrovnik, especially at sunset, is unforgettable. In addition, both, Marina and Ivo were very kind and hospitable. They collected us at the airport, recommended us the scooter rental of a friend with fair prices, and brought us fresh vegetables and were always available for a nice chat and tips regarding our sightseeing in Cavtat, Dubrovnik and trips to the surrounding beaches and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay at Marinas and Ivos house and would love to come back some time in the future!

“Lovely place with great owners!” We've stayed in Marina's apartment for 2 weeks in august 2013 and the apartment is all you could wish for for your holiday. It is spacious, airconditioned, the view from the balcony onto the bay is amazing, the sunsets are absoutely unbeatable! It is a bit of a walk from the beach (about 15 minutes) down the country roads and no footpath but that also can add to a rustic experience and seeing how the locals really live. Getting to the city of Cavtat is a further 15 minutes on foot but the walk is a lovely one, along the seaside. The star of the holiday, apart from the lovely clean sea, beautiful sunsets and the vicinity of Dubrovnik, is the owner, Marina. I've yet to come across such hospitability (and I do travel a lot!), friendliness, we'd come home and there'd be a home-made chocolate cake waiting for us in the fridge! Home-grown vegetables from her mother's garden. She did not think twice of taking my daugther (6) together with her children off to the hotel disco for kids numerous times. We needed to get to and from the airport a couple of times - we got the service of her husband, a taxi driver, for free every time, no matter what time in the morning/night. You seriously could not wish for a lovelier people to host you. Marina gives you all the local advice, advises you gladly on any trips you'd like to make giving you the insider's information on how, why, what. I absolutely recommend the apartment and them as hosts, very friendly, reliable, trustworthy! Thank you Marina for making our trip that much more enjoyable!
