Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Peaceful house on farmland near the water” I highly recommend this farm cottage as a peaceful retreat after a day of sight seeing. It was very clean and pleasantly decorated with comfortable beds. The kitchen was so well equipped we ate all dinners at the house after watching the sunset.
The friendly Iceland ponies greeted us every morning and evening and provided great photo ops. Birgir our host was very kind, knowledgeable and shared interesting facts and places about Iceland. The owner of the house, an interesting man who has traveled the world, was also very warm and welcoming and shared some tea and conversation with us one afternoon.
The house is close to the airport and Reykjavik as well as supermarkets. Birgir was kind enough to make car arrangements for us so we were able to get to the cottage to rest soon after we landed.
I should mention that interested parties should realize that the steps to the upper bedroom were very steep and only appropriate for the athleticly inclined. My husband and I, both in our 50's, got used to them pretty quickly and they became part of the charm of this special cottage.
