Pistoia turned out to be very attractive place to stay, although we only though of it as a well positioned in Tuscany and initially we only wanted to sleep over there. The town was really beautiful and had a lot of to offer during evenings. The flat is in perfect location, giving a really feel of locals and their culture. Fantastic place to stay with very supportive and helpful hosts :) …
It doesn't get any better than this!
We very much enjoyed our two week stay in Pistoia. Titi's apartments are very clean and well appointed. The location can't be beat - right off the main piazza. The train station is within walking distance. Pistoia is very centrally located with easy day trips to Florence, Lucca and Pisa. Rome and Venice are very accessible via high speed rail. There were few tourists and the Pisotoian community is vibrant and very welcoming. Titti is no exception. She graciously picked us up from the Florence airport and brought us to the apartment. She then took us out for an espresso and gave us a tour of Pistoia. She went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank You Titti!! …
An excellent accommodation
We recommend this comfortable, spacious, well-appointed apartment in the historic center of Pistoia. Sig. Titti was most accommodating, even when we arrived almost three hours after we expected. She met us, took us to the car park, then with our bags back to the apartment. In addition to orienting us in the apartment, she gave us a little tour of the neighborhood, showing us restaurants, places to buy foods, and the immediate sites.
The apartment is in the historic center, a lively area both day and night. It is very comfortable for two, or for a small family, since access to the bathroom is through the bedroom. It is well-appointed, with lots of pictures on the walls and color-coordinated upholstery and drapery, and plenty of closet and shelf space. There are lots of windows on two sides, with shutters so that one can get ventilation with privacy. There is air-conditioning and a satellite tv with a dvd player (which we did not use).
The location is excellent. The apartment is a minute walk from the Piazza del Duomo. There are numerous shops and a produce market virtually just outside the door. In addition, a variety of bars and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity.
Pisitoia itself is very interesting. The train (about a ten minute walk from the apartment) to Florence, Lucca, Prato, or other destinations is quite convenient. Parking is also about ten minutes away, but we didn't use our car much because the train was so easy to get to.
We recommend this apartment without hesitation. …
Everything you want from Tuscany
Vicky Middleton St Helens, UK 1st-8th August 2015 We had a wonderful time at Villa Raffaello. 4 adults, 3 children (aged 6-10 years) and plenty of space for all of us. The house is lovely and in a very beautiful spot with spectacular views. The pool is a welcome refreshment after a hot day out and the perfect spot for a lazy day in. Supermarkets and restaurants are in easy reach for those who don't want to venture far an Pistoia is a great place to explore. For the more adventurous the autostrada is a short drive away and there are many beautiful places to visit at close range. Raffaello and Elisabetta could not have been more lovely - very friendly, helpful and the perfect hosts (and the children absolutely adored their dog Oscar!) All in all, we had a fabulous time and could not have wanted for more. Thank you! …
