“Couldn't Ask For More!” The property lived up to the photos and description. Adam the owner couldn't have been more accommodating fulfilling every request we had (high chair, cot etc.)
The high standard of the property made it very comfortable, homely and we wanted for nothing. We didn't feel like we had to tread on egg shells for fear of damaging the high quality furniture and fittings but were very appreciative of the high standard.
The outdoor pool and all the equipment supplied was second to none and the location was great. A 5 minute walk in one direction to a local supermarket, pharmacy, café and train station and the other direction there was a lovely restaurant and bar and a road train that took you to the local sea front of Cabanas for 1.50 Euros each or you could walk it in 15 mins.
We would highly recommend this villa as a great place to rent for a family, group of friends or couples.
We have recommended this for people with disabilities as while it is two story it does have flat level access from the street and there is a bedroom with en-suite shower, toilet and another toilet and shower. The only difficulty would be the slight step out of the sliding doors to the back pool area.
The lady that drops/collect the key is very nice and speaks very good English and will help with anything you need.
Had a wonderful week in this Villa for a family holiday of 9 people (6 Adults, 2 Teenagers and 1 Baby) , Adam and Anne were both very accomodating and organised a Cot, Highchair and Pushchair for us and were also very helpful throughout the whole booking process. The villa is situated within quick walking distance to some very good restaurants (Vert In, Rota Dos Sabores, Daboca and Jolly Sailor to name a few) and also a quick walk to take you to the train station where you can venture further afield to Tavira, Faro etc. I highly recommend this as a location to stay if you want to experience a quiet relaxing holiday with high quality local food nearby …
Royal Cabannas Golf penthouse
Pleasant apartment in beautiful resort
Our transfer taxi dropped us at the Royal Golf Apartments but it wasn't clear where the apartment was. Thankfully after a call to the 'meet and greet' agent a young man drove round the corner and showed us where to go. The 'meet and greet' was a hasty show round the apartment. The cot and high chair we arranged weren't there so had to be dropped back later.
After the young man had gone we realised we hadn't been given any instructions what to do with the key on check out, and whereas other apartments we've stayed at there has been a brief show through use of the appliances etc this wasn't the case with this meet and greet. I would say it was more of a key drop than 'meet and greet'. There was also no guidance as to where anything was locally in relation to the apartment and after he had gone we also found there was no folder or info in the apartment with a local map or guidance as to where things were so the first day or so was just trial and error and I think this was a little disappointing compared to other apartments we've hired before.
On first impression the apartment was lovely. Adequate size for six but would be a squeeze for eight. Nice furnishings. Air con. Only thing I would say is that it wasn't particularly well equipped for self catering compared to other apartments we've stayed in. Only small saucepans for cooking and as the apartment sleeps up to eight, we found it challenging trying to cook for six let alone for that number and so I felt that was a little disappointing. No washing up cloths, liquid, soap etc which would have been helpful to get us through the first day or so. Only other thing was that the apartment could have been cleaner. There were one or two cobwebs in our bedroom and the apartment generally didn't have a spotlessly clean feel - we had to reclean glasses etc before we used them as they were still grubby from previous use. The crowning glory of the apartment is definately the roof terrace which did set this apartment apart from others. Stunning 360 degree views and plenty of seating. Also the pool was fab. Lovely and big, never too busy and a perfect temperature.
We loved the location of the apartment-quiet but accessible for everything without a car. Five mins walk to the little supermarket. Five mins walk to the train station and trains here are super cheap. And about a 20 mins walk to the lovely seafront of Cabanas. Wonderful boat ride to the beach and this beach is the most beautiful we have been to in the East Algarve.
In summary, lovely apartment with great pool and fantastic roof terrace. Excellent location even without a car. Would give five stars if there had been a more helpful 'meet and greet'/local maps and info, more saucepans and basic supplies for first day or so, and just a slightly more thorough clean. Having said that I would recommend this apartment to others.
Moyno De Sol converted Windmill unique with views
A beautiful, relaxing and comfortable windmill
The windmill was exactly what we wanted and expected. It was cosy and well-appointed. Perfect for a relaxing trip, we spent our days reading, cooking and eating - reveling in the quiet. The 360 degree views from the top bedroom were a joy to wake up to and our evening fires were warm and romantic. A lovely place to stay. …
Royal Cabanas Golf 3
A lovely place in a more traditional part of the algarve
Nice apartment , modern ,clean in a nice quiet area . Balcony is terrific . Could have done with a few more towels and no English channels on the TV . Internet is intermittent at best , so wouldn't recommend it if you definitely wanted internet access . A great place for a relaxing get away from it all holiday though . …
