“Great location and very comfortable with a few suggestions for a 5 star rating” We were two couples who stayed in this apartment. It was very comfortable with enough space for us all. Two separate toilets were great. There was a door between the main bedroom and the lounge room with a bathroom in between. However between the main bedroom and that door was only a curtain so it was not really completely private if the couple on the sofa bed wanted to shower before those in the main bedroom were up. This was not a great issue for us as we were relaxed travellers but some may find this a bit intrusive if not used to travelling with each other. A family travelling would have no problems. We found some great local paces to eat and we were close to transport options with two metro stations close by. We would recommend this apartment for others for its quiet location. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics for cooking and we had a couple of meals in the apartment. There is a great rotisserie about 10 minutes away up from the Moulin Rouge. Great chicken and roast potatoes!!! We added salad for a great meal at home.
However there were a few minor things that could have been supplied to give this lovely apartment a rating of 5 Despite there being a washing machine in the apartment there was no clothes airier to dry clothes. Rosemary brought up her own but we only had this for one day. We ended up hanging our clothes all over the apartment to dry which looked a bit untidy and as neighbours had previously complained about clothes hanging and drying in the window with previous tenants we thought it strange not to provide an airer. There was no TV which was not a real issue for us but it would have been nice to be able to play music on a docking station. As we were travelling pretty lightly we did not pack our own assuming that this would be available. There was also no iron provided despite an ironing board in the apartment.
Despite these minor inconveniences the apartment was great. Rosemary had us over for a wine on her balcony on the first night and offered some good advice on how to get around and places to see.
“Great little place in Paris” Small but compact, in a great location. Our host was there to meet us and very easy to communicate with all through the process. Would use again and would recommend to friends.
“Excellent” This wonderful property was exactly as advertised. A modern apartment with everything you could possibly need provided (and then some). Obviously much loved and cared for by the owners. Close to Metro, main train line, and loads of wonderful cafes and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and found the area safe, even when returning home sometimes late at night. It is not in the heart of the main tourist areas which makes it feel more like you are a local, but just a 20 minute stroll over one of the many bridges and you can be in the Notre Dame District. So much to see, so much to do, so little time.
“Peaceful Oasis in Paris” 52 CLICHY is a B&B IN Arr 9 PARIS & is a10 minute walk from Palais Garnier Opera & Galleries Lafayette department store .Gare du Nord is a 10 minute taxi ride & there are options to get to airports .Liege & Place de Clichy metro stations are a 5 minute walk .Restaurants /cafes/ boulangeries are all closeby. Location is excellent
The B&B is on the 5th floor of a 5 storey apartment block-only 1 per floor in a 5 block ,secured apartment complex , so noise & personal security are not issues
The apartment is shared with your hostess , Rosemary , who is English born with a number of years in France .Your bedroom is ensuite , of good size.,well decorated & furnished ,with ample storage space for clothes & bags .You have access to a private toilet , lounge /dining area & an outside balcony , equipped for eating , & rare in Paris .The bathroom does not have a shower cubicle , but the bath is safely accessible for most people
Breakfast is a treat , highlighted by wonderful breads & pastries from the boulangerie , a few doors up ..Rosemary has a complete knowledge of Paris & willingly assists in planning your day ,in accord with your interests
The B&B is a worthwhile ,different experience in a big city for the independent traveller ,particularly if of mature years
“Lovely experience in Paris *Very well located*” The place is very well located. Second arrondissement is a perfect place to stay. If you are willing to walk, you may go to Louvre, Champs Elysees, Triumph Arc, and also Montmartre/Sacre Coeur without taking subway or taxi. I found subway a little bit confusing for non-french speakers.
The building is very old, and needs reforms. According to proprietor, building will be restored along 2016. Although this has not disturbed our stay, because the studio is modern and has all the facilities for those on trip (hot shower, microwaves oven, cooktop, heater, dishes and glasses, coffeemaker, small refrigerator).
The studio is really nest (as "nest" as I expected it to be), but it fits perfectly for a couple. We've stayed during autumn, and although the temperature was decreasing outside (around 10ºC during the night) we didn't need to turn on the heater (so, I can't tell how good it is).
We have cooked our dinner almost every night, and nearby there are a plenty of markets with fresh vegetables and other quality articles. It is also easy to buy cheese, bread and wine, whether on supermarket or specialized stores. There is also a laundry service near, but we didn't need to use it.
Special attention to the size of the luggage. Cabin size or medium size luggages will fit on the studio wardrobe, but a higher luggage won't fit. And remember you will have to carry up your luggage for 2 flight of stairs.
I really recommend this studio for a young couple staying in Paris for a couple of weeks!
Paris is the city of romance, so it's the perfect place to take your loved one for a weekend away. With its chic boutiques, elegant cafés and exquisite cuisine, this stylish city has been an obvious choice for lovebirds for years. But it's not just loved-up couples that will fall in love with this fancy French capital. Groups of friends looking for a cultural break and families in search of a fun-filled holiday will also be captivated by Paris's charms.
Self-catering accommodation in Paris is diverse and there's something to suit every taste and budget. Go for a stylish studio or city centre apartment and explore this beautiful city.
Things to do in Paris
If you're visiting Paris for the first time, some must-dos include scaling the heights of the iconic Eiffel Tower, admiring the impressionist art at the Musée d'Orsay, wondering at the Mona Lisa's smile at the Musee du Louvre and catching your breath at the beauty of the Notre Dame Cathedral.
For a romantic stroll, head to the Luxembourg Gardens where you can walk hand-in-hand past fountains, flowers and statues. Other romantic attractions include boating on the River Seine and gazing up at the magnificent Arc de Triomphe. After spending the day taking in the city's cultural and historical sights, enjoy some traditional French cuisine such as the classic coq-au-vin and delicious French produce including coquilles Saint-Jacques and steak Tartare.
Fun for families
Paris is perfect for families travelling with children, from toddlers to teens. Hire an electric scooter for kids not keen on doing too much walking. For playground slides, kid-sized hamster wheels and zip lines, spend the day at Parc de la Villette. And for pony rides and puppet shows, take the toddlers to Jardin d'Acclimatation.
When the weather's not so good, The Magic Museum will enchant the whole family with its magic demonstrations and artifacts from the world of illusion. Another must-see is the Museum of Natural History. Here you'll find dinosaur skeletons, four levels of animal displays and a Children's Gallery.

Studio trendy in the heart of historical Paris
A home away from home in the heart of Paris
We had a very pleasant stay in this nice little apartment. The location is fantastic - 1 minute from the Pompidou Centre, 15 minutes walk to Notre Dame and the Louvre and 3 minutes from Chatelet station which is a major transport hub, so you really can't do better in terms of location to explore Paris and its famous landmarks. The apartment was neat and well equipped and, despite the central location, was very peaceful inside.
Marie was an excellent host- communicative beforehand, early to meet us on the day which was lovely as we happened to arrive a little before our scheduled check in time and she was available to answer questions throughout if they arose. …
Canal Saint Martin
small, but perfectly formed
It has everything you need for your stay in Paris, I stayed with my Son for his 30th birthday and we fitted in comfortably in this petit apartment. The location is amazing, hanging out by the canal, and everyone made us feel welcome. Silvana, the owner is extremely helpful and accommodating and kept in contact leading up to our stay, and made us feel very welcome when we arrived. There are easy transport links/metro to other parts of Paris, but if like us, you like to walk, it is in easy walking distance to the centre of Paris and beyond. When I return to Paris, this is the apartment that I will rent again. …
Apartment in 20th Arrondissement Menilmontant, Par
A home away from home in the 20th
My girlfriend and I shared this apartment on a recent trip to Paris. As we preferred two separate beds, this was a good choice. Please note that the person(s)using the electric bed needs to be agile....perfect and fun for kids! The weather was beautiful during our stay and we loved the semi-private garden. The kitchen was well equipped, although to be honest, we didn't cook as we enjoyed eating out. The bathroom fan was not working during our trip, but the charming owner is working on getting that fixed. Marc did everything he could to help us acclimate to the apartment and came the next day to resolve a problem. He is a lovely person and very happy to see that you have a happy trip. …
