“Petit Paris apartment, large on comfort and charm.” The apartment feels new and clean, yet is full of old world charm. The rental and key exchange is a smoothly run operation. The travel routes provided to reach the apartment were a bonus, but it would also help to know what streets to take upon emerging from the Metro. The apartment was about 9 blocks to Notre Dame, 3 minutes to the Pompidou, about 8 minutes to Place de Vosges, under 3 miles from either Gare de Lyon or Gare de Nord. Also, there are taxi stands on both sides of the apartment passage. The taxi fare to DeGaulle Airport was 45 Euro and took 40 minutes. During your stay, there are many bike rental stations--but it's easist to arrange payment on line.
The kitchen contained many basics, such as salt, pepper, spices, olive oil, jam and a bottle of wine. We did not do any cooking, but the pots, pans, dishes and flatware were sufficient to make a nice meal after shopping at one of the street markets or nearby stores. There are glass and plastic recycle bins in the passage, also a trash bin. They do not appear to compost.
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom very nice--but shower quickly if you like hot water--and bring your own soap and shampoo. The apartment is quiet after dark, but once people arise, you will know it. Like most places in France, there does not appear to be any insulation. I was awakened one morning certain that someone with heels was running up our apartment stairs--but it was next door or upstairs, perhaps. We heard the glass recycle container under the window.
There are stairs at the end of the kitchen counter that spiral up to a ceiling. There are a few hangers here and the steps serve as shelves for your clothes.
I was very happy with the apartment, the management, the location and would love to stay here again!
My husband and I have lived in France and, since moving back to the U.S., have returned many times for extended visits. This means over the years we've rented a ton of different apartments in Paris, mostly in the Marais. We can honestly say that this "stylish loft on charming courtyard" is the best place we've found. It's in a good central location, yet quiet, and equipped with everything you need or might need. The owners are friendly and responsive. They were quick to solve a small problem with the phone--they just brought over a brand new phone! Everything works and everything is clean. There is enough storage space for your clothes and your suitcases (many Paris apartments have laughably minimal closets and no place to put empty luggage). The kitchen is comfortable for one person to cook in and contains all necessary appliances, pots, pans, etc. The bed and shower are large enough to contain my 6'5" husband--an important point! We delighted in the extensive library of travel books and novels. I especially appreciated how tasteful the decor is (many rentals seem to be furnished with hand-me-downs and throwaways). Since we still know people in Paris, we even entertained in this apartment. Our French friends were impressed, even jealous. Truly, you could live here permanently, it is that comfortable. …

Petit Paris - safe and cosy oasis in the Marais
Convenient,Clean, Cute & Cozy
This was a well decorated, clean, well thought out, small apartment! It was convenient for us to walk to the Luvre, Notre Dame, the Orsay Museum and the Touleries. The bed was very comfortable! There was a lot of night life around if you are interested but quiet inside your temporary home. Of course you hear neighbors through the typical Paris old walls but that did not bother us in the least! As other reviews have said, the best bakery in all the areas we walked, was the one across the street from the apartment. The only complaint I have is that the water tank needs to be bigger for 2 people. One of us always got at least a cold rinse during the second shower. But all the other pluses make up for the chilly shower. The directions Lennart gave were excellent and Jessica was so helpful to meet us shortly after our plane arrived. This was our first visit to Paris without any French speaking friends with us so we were delighted to have made it to the apartment with the excellent directions! …
