Juanperi Cottage is in the heart of the old fishing village of Winterton-on-Sea, a few steps away from the shop, post office and pub.
Walk out of the gate and within a very few minutes you are on a stunning, completely unspoilt sandy beach.
Perfectly situated for a bucket and spade holiday, a winter break or a romantic getaway, the house is comfortably furnished and equipped for all seasons.
It boasts free wifi, Sky, Netflix, Apple TV (Airplay), oil-fired central heating, a separate dining room and a long, enclosed garden that was once filled with drying fishing nets.
A stable door from the living room opens onto the garden where there is a barbecue area and a lawn with space for children and pets to play.
Upstairs the spacious master bedroom, which looks out over the garden, has a genuine Victorian bedstead, while in the second bedroom there is a triple-sleeper bunk bed fitted with memory foam mattresses top and bottom. The recently fitted bathroom is downstairs and conveniently situated for coming in from the beach and washing off the sand.
As well as an HD TV, the lounge also features a DVD player, a landline telephone for emergency or incoming calls and an electric log-effect woodburner. There is a small library of DVDs and books and a collection of games and toys.
At the rear there is parking for one vehicle and on-road parking close by for a second. The cottage is also within sight of the bus stop on the village green from where there is a regular service to Gt Yarmouth.
Electricity/heating, bedlinen and towels are included in the price. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge and the beach is dog friendly year round. The cottage is no smoking.
Winterton is perfect for holidays with the children, but it's a great place for breaks throughout the year. Even at the height of summer the beach is never crowded. There is a cafe and toilets, meaning you can spend the day soaking up the sun or splashing around with the kids before wandering back the short distance to the comforts of home.
The dunes are a nationally recognised site of special scientific interest, home to rare species including the Natterjack toad and the whole area is a bird-watcher, nature lover, artist or photographer's dream.
In summer a colony of little terns - one of the UK's rarest seabirds - takes over part of the beach for the nesting season. Then in the winter grey seals from the thriving colony at nearby Horsey come ashore to have their pups. Both grey and common seals are often seen stopping on Winterton beach for a snooze and they can be spotted in the water throughout the year.
The village is on the doorstep of the Norfolk Broads. Dayboats can be hired from a yard at a neighbouring village and guided boat trips are available at Horsey Mere - a hidden gem of a nature reserve. Winterton is a short drive, but a world away from the amusements of Gt Yarmouth and not far away from family attractions like BeWILDerwood and Thrigby Hall Wildlife Park. It is also about 45 minutes from Pleasurewood Hills theme park. Norwich, described by JB Priestley as a fine city, is about 40 minutes' drive.
As well as the highly rated castle museum and beautiful cathedral, it is very popular for shopping. Norfolk is dotted with fascinating museums chronicling its fishing, agricultural and military history and one of the remnants of the area's herring fishing industry, the 1930s-built steam drifter Lydia Eva, is moored in Yarmouth and where it is open to visitors.
The area is great for walking, fishing and cycling, there is golfing nearby at Caister and sea fishing trips can be booked at Scratby.

The East Anglia region
Norfolk is Nelson's county and proud of it. The countryside and coastline is beautiful all year round and produces some of the finest food. It is also renowned for its "big skies." Great for family holidays, the county is blessed with plenty of activities and attractions from boating on the Norfolk Broads, steam railways, the historic Norwich Castle and its museum, boat trips to see the seals and all the fun of the fair at Great Yarmouth.
Winterton-on-Sea is right next to a stunning sandy beach. The dunes are a site of special scientific interest and home to rare species including Natterjack toads. A very short distance up the coast you can see seals and their pups on the beach at the right time of year.
The village is a short drive away from the Broads, Great Yarmouth and approximately 45 minutes from Norwich. The village has a post office, shop, pub, beach cafe, restaurant and chip shop. There is also a pub at nearby Somerton and Hemsby, the next village along the coast has more shops including a convenience store and pizza delivery,

Loved this cottage from the minute we arrived - a real home from home, everything you needed to relax. Beach within 5 minutes walk, good local shop, and Fishermans pub highly recommended for food. Dogs loved the garden. Villagers so friendly. We will return!

"Idylic cottage away from the crowds"
What a fantastic cottage, house was immaculate yet still felt homely. Great location and an ideal place to take the dogs for hours on the beach, we booked to return as soon as we arrived home.

"Cosy warm fishermans cottage in fab location, just a stroll to the sea"
A fabulous former fishermans cottage, very warm and cosy and excellent facilities and fully equipped, Netflix and WIfi connection greatly appreciated by our teenage daughter when she visited! Great to find a dog friendly rental which is clean and does not smell of previous doggie visitors. Our dog loved the welcome treats (we appreciated the human treats too!) and the enclosed long garden. Just a five minute stroll to an amazing beach and beautiful sand dunes, we visited the next village to see the seal colony, great experience. Will definitely be booking again soon.

"Perfect beach holiday"
Juanperi Cottage was the perfect base for our holiday , 5 mins from a beautiful beach and a few steps away from the local shop. Winterton is a lovely small village with non of the typical seaside arcades or attractions which we found ideal. The cottage was excellent in its facilities and cleanliness also Peter (owner) was most helpful in every-way. I would definitely recommend Juanperi Cottage for anyone young and old alike.
