Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo, is an historical village surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and is centrally situated with easy access to the major cities of art and places of interest. Podere Zollaio is on the outskirts of Vinci and has a beautiful view of the village.
The Archi is one of 4 holiday apartments and it includes a well equipped kitchen, 2 shower rooms, a lounge area with satellite TV and a double bed; it can sleep up to 4 people as in the lounge area there is a single day bed and a single sofa-bed. Outside there is a patio with "al fresco dining" facilities and space to relax with beautiful views over Vinci village and the surrounding coutryside. The swimming pool whirlpool area are ideally located to enjoy the views and the sun. For the joy of your palate we produce our own excellent organic wine and extra virgin olive oil. But images speak more than words and we can assure you that the reality is even more beautiful. Simply treat yourself to a holiday with us. We are always on site to answer any question, to offer help and advice or to give a tour of the vineyard, the olive groves and.... the cellar.

The Tuscany region
Enjoy staying in the heart of beautiful Tuscany. There are many fascinating cities within easy reach: Florence Km. 45, Lucca Km. 55, Pisa Km. 55, Siena Km. 70 and the seaside (Viareggio Km. 75) are well worth a visit and will offer you many different magical and cultural places to visit such as Volterra, San Gimignano, Certaldo. If you like a good drive then you can loose yourself in the tuscan countrside: there are many scenic routes to choose from.
Vinci area
Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo, is an historical village surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and is centrally situated with easy access to the major cities of art and places of interest. Enjoy staying in a landscape that has changed little since Leonardo himself lived here. In the village there are 2 museums dedicated to the life and works of Leonardo and from April to June Vinci holds special "Lectures" and cultural events to celebrate the life of its most illustrious citizen. During the summer there are many village fairs and "sagre" with many different events, local specialities, and of course fireworks. Other importants event in the village life are the vine harvest in September and the olive harvest from October to Dicember.

Further details outdoors: The garden/patio and the swimming pool area, both with a beautiful view of Vinci, will invite you to relax and feel recharged. For our younger guests we have a swing, a sand pit a small garden house and a lot of space to run around. Our guests love to find their favourite spot to sit and contemplate nature with a glass of our wine! Or why not try the famous "Florentine steak" grilled on the BBQ and served with chopped rosmary and a drizzle of our extravirgin olive oil.

The booking is valid once we have confirmed receipt of your deposit which is one third of the total rental amount.The balance becomes due on your arrival.
The minimum rental period during High Season is one week from Saturday 3.00pm to Saturday 9.00am inclusive
During low season we are happy to accept bookings for shorter periods
Extra beds are available to rent at an additional payment of €26 per week.
The price of rental includes all mains services, use of swimming pool and whirlpool (in summer) and 8 hours of heating in winter. Linens and towels are provided with the exception of beach towels for use at the pool. For periods of rental of two weeks or more a change of linens is provided. Children under the age of three stay free and we'll be happy to provide you with a high chair and cot.
Prior to departure a fee of €26 is payable for final cleaning of the apartment.
Conditions
From mid September to the end of May we will be happy to accept booking for a minimum of 3 nights. During this period we can be flexible on arrival and departure dates while during high season we can only accept bookings from Saturday to Saturday. Please let us know if you are booking this holiday to mark a special occasion (birthday, anniversary or honey-moon).

Date Submitted: June 16, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2007 Every year for over 10 years my friend and I have spent our holidays at "Podere Zollaio" in Vinci. We have also had many holidays with both our families in the large farmhouse "Casa Eden". We have always found the apartments and farmhouse clean and well maintained and exactly as described. Every holiday has come up to our expectations. The beautiful views, from the apartments, swimming pool etc., of Vinci and the surrounding Tuscan countryside, enhanced by Lisa's wonderful red and white wine and delicious olive-oil, make this our ideal place. We have visited many of the cities and towns mentioned in the brochure and found them well within a reasonable driving distance - many repeated trips to Florence, Lucca and S. Gimignano which are our favourites. We love strolling through the olive and vine groves down to Vinci, which has everything we need, including good restaurants and bars, everyone is very friendly, Lisa, Chiara and Ian do everything possible to make our holidays enjoyable. Great family, lovely place to relax and get away from it all. It is bliss. The most relaxing place on earth! Alison and John Nottinghamshire, England. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished, and very flexible for parties, families or couples. Outside is perfect for enjoying food and wine whilst looking at the amazing scenery across the hills and down to Vinci. Ian and Chiara are really welcoming and do everything that they can to make every visit perfect. Vinci is perfectly situated for sightseeing - Vinci itself, Pisa, Florence and San Gimignano are just a few of the places within easy travelling distance. Our favourite place in the Tuscany Lisa's fan in Munich Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Date Submitted: May 13, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2007 For more than 11 years we, that means my wife and I, regularly spend our holidays at Lisa's Podere Zollaio in Vinci. We were almost the first visitors there after opening of this nice, calm place for foreign customers to recover. You will find there a friendly, clean, well-maintained property in typical tuscan style with a marvellous prospect to Vinci and the Arno-Valley. Taste the red and white wine and the delicious olive-oil from Podere Zollaio and you will be convinced that you will return to it in the near future. The informations/descriptions regarding Podere Zollaio are accurate. We would recommend the property for people who like Italy and especially the Tuscany. In details see recommandations below.
