From the owner

In the hills on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales, a family farm invites you to come and meet the residents. The cows live just across from the Yurts, the they all have their own private hot tubs, loos and showers. The pigs, goats and llamas can be fed if you join the 8:30am farmer’s rounds and the cows always need mucking out, if you feel like really getting your hands dirty. Wilder countryside awaits too, with the Dales on your doorstep for hiking and the route between Redmire and Aysgarth falls a particular local favourite.

Back home at Larch Yurt, you can raid Berry’s Farm Shop for local treats for the BBQ, order up a cool box of beers and head to your private hot tub. The yurts (and the hot tubs) are completely off-grid, with an axe for chopping firewood the only cutting-edge technology around apart from a gas hob for simple cooking. You’ll adjust to a slower pace of life, setting the fire and wrapping yourself in blankets as you sit outside where the peace and unspoilt skies are the only entertainment you need. If the hot tub and tranquility just aren’t enough, then ease those final knots of urban tension by arranging a Reiki session or head massage.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Oliver (the owner) a message.

If Oliver (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
