This unit is in Ocean Beach, a beach community of San Diego, California. It is beachfront (direct access) on Dog Beach a 7/24 off-leash dog beach. We accept all breeds, all sizes, limit 6.

"OB" is centrally located. It is a ten-minute drive to Mission Valley shopping Malls, Sea world (can see it from here), Balboa Park, the San Diego zoo, Old Town, Downtown San Diego, Petco Park (baseball), Qualcomm Stadium (football), and the main airport. It is 20 minutes to the Tiajuana border. And about one mile from the nearest freeway entrance. There are many golf courses ranging from par 3 to the famous Torrey Pines.

This is the ground-floor unit of a duplex. It has 1 bathroom (shower, sink, toilet), 2 bedrooms and a couch that pulls out into a double bed in the living room. Fully furnished kitchen and linens. Fenced backyard. Carport parking for 1 vehicle. Pet friendly.

This comfortable beach unit has been completely renovated (and dog proofed) with stainless steel kitchen, Italian-tile floors, marbleized bathroom, and patio with Bar-B-Q. Go out the back gate onto dog beach for an off-leash stroll with your pooch 24/7 (all breeds ok). And we will dog-sit when available.

Enjoy the Snowy Egrets, Great Blue Herons, pelicans, ducks, and sandpipers in the estuary. Or walk along or swim in the channel that connects the San Diego River and the ocean. Or meander east along the "bike path" for wild-life viewing, tennis courts, gym, skateboard park, softball, fishing, or just a leisurely stroll. Or take a two-minute walk west to dog beach on the open ocean (waves), the public (no-dog) beach, surfing, boogie boarding, or just watching the surf crash on the rocks.

The main shopping area of "OB" (Ocean Beach) is within walking distance, including antique row. So is fishing off the OB Pier or surfing alongside it. Restaurants range from the quick-and-cheap to on-the-waterfront pricey. There are many nightspots. You will not want to miss this last-of-the-original Southern California beach towns complete with street fair every Wednesday afternoon.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
