About the home

House of Character with private pool. 3 bedrooms sleeps 6+. Situated in a secluded position offering privacy and tranquillity. Beautiful beaches and just a 30 minute ferry crossing to Malta. Ta Mananni is just a five minute drive to Hondoq ir Rummien, Qala's own pebbly beach and ten minutes to Ramla L Hamra Gozo's largest Sandy beach. ta Mananni's pool has got a shallow end at one side for children and a deeper end at the other. Excellent restaurants are within walking distance for eating out. This makes ta Mananni an ideal place to holiday for romantic couples and families all year round and during school holidays too!

Ta' Mananni is a cosy three bedroom villa with all bedrooms having en suite shower/bathrooms plus an extra bathroom with jacuzzi. A fully equipped kitchen is next to an open plan dining/lounge area with fireplace for the winter months. Cable tv is situated in lounge area with lots of channels to satisfy both adults and younger guests. It has also a very romantic setting making it also very popular with couples. Parking is not a problem. Free Wi-fi internet is available throughout the villa and surrounding area for the exclusive use of our guests.

Barbecue area next to pool deck makes eating out around the pool a must with sun loungers surrounding the spacious deck area.

The Island of Gozo region

Gozo is the northernmost island of the Maltese archipelago. It is the most tranquil of the whole Islands with the pace of life very slow all year round. It is mostly agricultural and the three hills which makes Gozo different are being turned into vineyards and olive producing place. Since Gozo is surrounded by sea all around it has become renowned for its clean beaches and scuba diving. Driving from one part to another does not take more than twenty five minutes. Archeological remains are part and parcel of its history going back to thousands of years.

The Qala / Qala Beach Village area

From Easter to end of September every town and village has got its particular feast celebrations every week-end which is carried out with much pomp and decorations. Christmas and carnival in February are also big in Gozo. Gozo's churches are not to be missed as these are not only places of worship but works of Art.
Qala's patron saint is St. Joseph and the feast is celebrated every first Sunday of August with much pomp and revelry the week preceeding that week end.
Internet cafe is located within one minute walk at Xerri L Bukkett restaurant with splendid views of Comino Islands in the Gozo Channel.

Fly to Malta Int. Airport and then I can arrange transfer via ferry crossing(www.gozochannel.com) and if requested car rental later in Gozo itself. From end of October 2006 Ryanair starts operating from Luton and Pisa, in Feb 2007 from Dublin. Loads of ver good priced flights now available also from www.airmalta.. From November 06 onwards Air Malta has also reduced prices from UK and other destinations please check at www.airmalta.com. Easyjet is now operating from Gatwick, Manchester, Liverpool, Belfast and also from Newcastle. Ryanair flies from Edinburgh, Lution, Dublin, Pisa, Treviso, Madrid, Stockholm, Gerona(Barcelona), Leeds, Trapani and Bari. Emirates now fliesdaily from Dubai via Cyprus. In 2012 new services from Lithuania, Malmo, Turin, Glasgow Prestwick, Bournemouth etc.
From July 2011 new bus service operating in all of Malta and Gozo. Direct bus service from Malta Int. Airport to Cirkewwa crossing point, Mgarr Harbour to all town and villages in Gozo, making car not really essential. Please visit www.arriva.com.mt for more information and timetables.

“A beautiful hidden villa with private pool” A great place to stay! Having stayed here four times now we are never disappointed! The owners Ray and Marianne are very friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. The property has its own pool which is great as we have three young boys and the locals are very friendly! Although there is not a dishwasher in this property to be honest it is not essential as eating out locally is cheap. (Who goes on holiday to cook anyway!) The local restaurants serve food such as- pizza, tapas, steak and not to forget a Gozo dish of rabbit! The local wine is excellent and not to be missed too. You must try a Gozo cheese salad it is out of this world! The beach at Hondoq is pebbly but worth the visit it is only 5 mins drive from the villa. It is excellent for small children, there is a bar down there too should you wish to eat or drink. The sandy beach at Ramla Bay is 10 mins drive away and is also a must visit. During your stay in the villa you will experience visits from both a fruit merchant and a bread man who pip their horns to let you know they are outside should you wish to purchase anything. This villa is definitely a must visit, you will really enjoy it.

“We had a great stay at Ta Mananni and would like to come back at once” We are a family with two teens and had 2 weeks at Ta Mananni. Each teen had his own bedroom and bathroom, and we loved to sit outside for eating together. The pool is great, even up to 2 meters deep. In the evening, the lights looked amazing. We loved Gozo, people are very friendly and Ray visited us two times. When we look at our photos, we would like to go back at once....

“Perfect harmony!” Communications, booking, deposit and payment etc was extremely simple with very quick replies from Raymond. The stone Villa is magnificent with local amenities such as shops and fantastic restaurants. The courtyard and pool benefit from the sun all day long and is completely private. All possible self catering facilities (including internet for those that can't let go!) are there. There is a fantastic beach with impossibly clear water, cafe etc just a few minutes walk away (ok, about 15 minutes walk but what a nice stroll!) If you are after a quiet, relaxed holiday in a beautiful villa and where the locals make you feel like long lost friends then I cannot recommend Ta'Mananni enough. Enough to say that we will be back every year until I can retire there.
