From the owner

Casa do Pomar is situated on a hill just outside the rural village of Moncarapacho. It is only a 25-minutes' drive from Faro airport. From Moncarapacho to the Spanish border it is only 35 minutes by car. The nearest beach is at Fuzeta and is about 7 kilometers /4.35 miles away. Because there is no mass tourism here, you will be able to enjoy the authentic, rural Portugal in many different ways. In the village of Moncarapacho you will find everything you need, such as supermarkets, a bakery, restaurants, a post office, a bank and outdoor cafés, just to name a few things.The house is newly built (finished in 2009) and has been divided into four separate apartments. At the moment 3 apartments have fully been equipped for our guests, the fourth apartment is currently occupied by us, the owners. The apartments, each with its own south facing terrace (sea view), overlook our spacious garden with our orchard (over 15,000 m2) and farmlands. The north facing bedrooms look out onto the São Miguel mountain and the beautiful hills of the interior land.

Because of its central location, Casa do Pomar is the ideal holiday destination for beach-, city- and nature lovers. We'd like to keep things small-scaled and personal. Our goal is to make sure everyone enjoys their stay at Casa do Pomar and we are open to personal needs and wishes.

The apartment on the ground floor has an open plan kitchen with a spacious dining area and a living space with wood stove. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one twin-bedded room. The bathroom has a large shower, toilet, bidet and a washbasin. The apartment measures about 75 m2 / 807 square feet and is equipped for up to 4 people. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped and fitted with a gas cooker with 4 burners, refrigerator, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster and water cooker.

Through the sliding patio doors you will reach a private terrace, where you can enjoy some lovely sunshine, with in front of you the large garden with sea view. On the other side of the house you will find the swimming pool.

The living room has satellite television. Wireless Internet is available.

Prices are per week and include change of towels and bed linen for up to 4 people.

Guest apartment 2

This apartment also has a large living room with an open plan kitchen, 2 twin bedded rooms and a bathroom with spacious shower, toilet and washbasin. The kitchen is fully equipped  and has a gas cooker with 4 burners, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and water cooker. In the living room there is satellite television, a sitting- and dining-area and of course a wood stove.

There are two large sliding patio doors with beautiful views of  the garden , the orchard and, of course,  the sea. On the terrace, which is as wide as the entire apartment, you will be able to enjoy the sun.

This apartment is suitable for up to 4 people. Wireless Internet is available.

Guest apartment 3

This apartment also has a large living room with an open plan kitchen, 1 twin bedded room and a bathroom with spacious shower, toilet, bidet and washbasin. The kitchen is fully equipped  and has a gas cooker with 4 burners, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and water cooker. In the living room there is satellite television and a sitting- and dining-area.

 

There is one large sliding patio door with beautiful views of  the garden , the orchard and, of course,  the sea. On the terrace, which is as wide as the entire apartment, you will be able to enjoy the sun.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rob (the owner) a message.

If Rob (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
