Oak Tree Lodge is spacious and comfortable and is situated in a lovely position overlooking a small stream and open field. It is situated within a ten minute stroll to the facilities. We have a large wrap around decking with table and chairs and new outside rattan furniture where you can sit and have a quiet drink under the shade of the oak trees.

Our lounge is spacious with a 49" TV with DVD player and wifi. It has a flame effect electric fire with surround with patio doors leading onto the large decking area overlooking the green fields. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with full size gas cooker and a five burner hob. Also washing machine and American style fridge freezer. There is built in microwave, kettle and toaster. There is central heating throughout via radiators and double glazed windows.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with fitted mirror wardrobes. An iron ironing board and hairdryer are in the wardrobe for your use. There is an en - suite with bath and overhead shower. The second bedroom has two single beds and a wardrobe. The second bathroom has a walk in shower.

Shorefield Country Park is an ideal site for young and old with heated indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, jacuzzi and gym. There is a bar and restaurant with a large entertainment complex with arcades. There is a small fishing lake on the site just a five minute walk from our lodge where there are carp, roach and rudd. We are within walking distance to the beach and villlage with an array of bars and restaurants. The New Forest is a short drive where ponies cows and horses run free. You can enjoy some lovely walks in the area. Chewton Glen Hotel, Rhinefield House, Burley Manor Hotel and Carey's Manor Hotel are ideal spots for a gorgeous afternoon tea with beautiful grounds. Horses roam free at most of these locations.

Just outside is a bus stop which will take you to nearby Christchurch or Bournemouth. There are also three open top buses which stop on the site throughout the summer months for tours of the New Forest.

There are some lovely sandy beaches in the area. Highcliffe Castle is close by with its woodland walks. Beaulieu motor museum and Peppa Pig World are just off the M27. The Isle of Wight is close by and at Lymington, 20 minutes drive from Shorefield, you can get the ferry over to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight making it easy for a day out. I have a brochure and bus timetable for the IOW for your use. New Milton train station is only 2 miles away.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Julie (the owner) a message.

If Julie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
