The lodge boasts stunning panoramic views which include, the 5 peaks of Assynt mountain range (Ben More Assynt, Canisp, Conival, Quinag and Suilven). Waterloo is on two levels, with 1 double bedroom and, 1 twin room on the ground floor and a large Double bedroom on the first floor. All Bedrooms have En-suite and we provide towels and bed linen. The lodge has an underfloor heating system throughout and, boasts a large wood burning stove.

The kitchen, dining room and living area are open plan providing, a spacious and sociable area to relax in.

A small burn passes in front of the lodge which, opens in to a large pond. Sit outside on one of the two balconies, take in the views with just the sound of the burn to disturb you.

Waterloo house was built by my father, myself and, a small team of local contractors. The building took just over 8 months to complete from, start to finish.

We traveled for 5 hours much of it through beautiful countryside. Once arriving at Ben's you could not help but be impressed by the well appointed home, full of all mod cons. My boyfriend especially loved the smart tv and sound bar as he misses these kind of things when away. The bedroom we used had a wonderfully comfortable bed ( im sure the others are too), and great views of the loch and harbour. We enjoyed exploring the walks and local beaches, walking boots and clothes are a must. We enjoyed a warm welcome in the town, people waved from their cars, a bit of a chat in the pubs( one was shuts a few days per week in off season). Even though many of the tourist attractions were closed it didn't matter to us, march/April many advertised to open again. We went to walk and relax in a great hot tub in a beautiful setting and we certainly got that. The owner Ben was helpful and contact via email was of the right amount, sent us the weather for the week and checked on us mid stay, we met his father who was lovely also. We loved the hens that roam their land too some very free range eggs. I would recommend you go for a drive round the area near by too, the costal roads are narrow twisty but the surfaces are good watch out for the sheep that wander freely too.

Hey Nicola, many thanks for your kind review. I'm glad you had a great time! I hope you visit again in the not so distant future.
