The North Wales region
Anglesey is a fascinating island rich in anciant history and is surrounded by sandy beaches and rocky coasts with caves. The island of Anglesey is under 25 miles in length. The main townss are Holyhead, LLangefni, Amlwch and Beaumaris. Attached to the mainland by bridge, Anglesey's natural setting is hard to beat - an island of rolling landscapes fringed by 25 miles of magnificent coastline with the Snowdonia mountain range creating a striking backdrop.
There are loads of activites and sports facilities available locally like horse-riding, fishing, golf within a 30 minute drive, and watersports. There are lovely areas in which to walk and cycle and bird-watching is great in the area.
