Welcome to our holiday home in the small village of Komarna, a former fisherman's village at the Adriatic Sea. Komarna is a very secure and calm place, beautiful nature surrounds it and Komarna has the cleanest sea water you can find in the Mediterranean. Our village is a secure and calm place for your holiday away from it all. Here you can enjoy the surroundings, swim in clean and safe water and you are in a good central location for travelling around to the many interesting places in your surrounding area.
Apartment Tedo is an ideal holiday accommodation and sleeps up to 6 people in comfort. The master bedroom has it's own balcony and the family bedroom leads on to the terrace and garden. From both the terrace and the balcony there is a wonderful view of the sea, the village and over the small islands to the Peljesac Peninsula. Behind the house there are a shared garden and two terraces with barbecues. From the house it is a very short walk (50 metres) to the sea!

Komarna area
Komarna is primarily a summer resort for people from the surrounding cities. You will not find many facilities in Komarna. The village is a friendly, unspoiled and safe place. Children may run around without getting in trouble and the mix of local people and a few tourists is just right.
There is one small hotel with a restaurant that is open during the tourist season, one konoba (café) and a mini-market.Next to the hotel in Villa Komarna there is a fitness centre and a swimming pool that you can get access to for a fee.
3 kilometers to the south is the holiday resort Klek. A further 5 kilometers will take you to Neum, the only seaside town in Bosnia-Herzegovina where there is several big shops and hotels. In Klek and Neum there is a selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Klek is open from April to October and in Neum you will find restaurants, shops and department stores open all year.
How to get there
Komarna is just one km off the main North-South highway (E65) that cuts along the coast. It is about 70 km. North of Dubrovnik and 120 km. South of Split.
Car hire is available in both airports and also in Komarna. Local buses run close by Komarna every hour. Taxi service can be arranged from the airports.

Further details indoors: We have 4 semi-detached houses of 60 m2 each, the apartments are identical except for small variations in the decoration. Tedo-2 and Tedo-3 are non-smoking houses.
Downstairs there is a living room with a sofa for two persons, a coffee table and a dining table with six chairs. There is a wall-mounted 20" TV with satellite receiver (Astra 1). It will receive BBC World, Sky Channel CNN, Euro sport and a large number of channels in German, Italian and French. In the cupboard there is a DVD player, some movies (mainly for children), novels, maps and our book with advice and directions about how you can get the best out of your stay. There is also about 40 pages of sightseeing advice in the book.
The kitchen is in open connection with the living room. There is: - Tableware for six, two-ring cooker top, small fridge, electric kettle, microwave Owen, coffee machine .... and what ever else you might need - including some good knives. The kitchens are all equipped with the utensils we require personality when we stay in Komarna.
The master bedroom on the upper floor has bed side tables, closet, clock radio, air condition and exit to the balcony overlooking the sea. There are two good chairs and a coffee table on the balcony and it is a great place to have a drink when the sun sets in the west. In the master bedroom there is a double bed with two mattresses and it is possible to have a third bed or a baby bed on request.
The bathrooms were renovated in 2005. They are comfortable and have shower cabin and a small washing machine. The family bedroom has bunk beds (full-size mattresses), table, closet, air condition and a sofa that may be converted into two full-size beds. There is exit to the garden from this bedroom.
Further details outdoors: At the back of the houses there is a garden (where a family of tortoises live!) and two shared terraces, both with a big barbecue. The garden terrace has mandarins, oranges and lemon trees.
Each house has a garden table with six chairs and extra chairs on the balcony and front terrace.
There are 40 meters from the house to the sea (straight line) and the elevation is about 20 meters. The walking distance to the sea is about 50 meters through the houses in front of us or along a foot path and the road to the harbour.
From all the balconies there is a great view of the sea and the village. The Sea in front is The Mali Ston Channel that separate the mainland and the Peljesac Peninsular. We have the cleanest water you can imagine. Swimming is possible from everywhere and if you need a regular beach (pebbles) it is only 300 meters from the house.

Our English speaking housekeeper, Vanja, lives in Komarna, 40 meters from our house and she will be available throughout your stay.
You can book meals and excursions through Vanja and breakfast is available at 6 Euro per person. 3 Euro for children under 12.

No Breakage deposite.
20% pre-payment on confirmed booking and the balance 30 days before the rental starts.
Croatian tourist tax of 5 Kuna (Euro 0,66) per day per adult guest has to be paid to the tourist office when you arrive in Komarna. The prices are not valid for short stays of less than 4 days.
