“Unbeatable location in a gorgeous bay with fabulous views” Having spent a week on a sail boat (which was great but busy), this was a perfect way to completely unwind. This house has a unique location - with a lovely and shaded garden from which various comfortable vantage points give different views of the beautiful bay below. The pool is perfect and well sheltered but again with its own lovely view. The delightful owners are on hand when you need but we always felt that we had the property to ourselves. If you are looking for some peace, wonderful views and plenty of room, I cannot recommend Villa Anna more highly.
In terms of amenities, Wifi was good, AC which covered the whole house worked well and gave good respite from the hotter days. We made extensive use of the BBQ and kitchen.
Tip: we rented a boat (you do need a license in Croatia) for the week which was moored on the house mooring boy at the bottom of the steps; we had a lot of fun with it, exploring local bays and getting over to Milna - I would recommend getting a larger engine (50HP+) to explore more of the island. Also ignore the journey times on Google Maps. Trip to Bol (not really worth visiting) for example was just 25 mins.
In Split, on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, dramatic mountains tumble into turquoise waters, ancient Roman monuments transform into thriving commercial districts, and locals pass the time enjoying the sandy beaches. Attractive and lively, Split is a city you won’t want to miss.
Ancient & Modern
Split has developed over centuries to become Croatia’s second largest city. Nowhere is the evolution from Roman outpost to vibrant European destination more evident than in the beautiful Diocletian’s Palace, in the heart of the city. A labyrinth of columns, archways, bars, restaurants, ancient streets and stone walls, this fascinating area is Split’s social hub.
Fun & Games
As the largest city on the Adriatic Coast, Split is an ideal mix of city and beach break. To enjoy its sandy beaches like a local, you need to try the ball game called Picigin. This popular pastime involves tumbling, splashing and running in shallow water while trying to keep a ball from falling into the sea.
Natural beauty abounds in this area of the Adriatic: you just have to gaze at precipitous cliffs rising out of the bright blue sea to see what we mean. Away from the city, there are olive groves and orchards to explore, as well as vineyards producing famed local Zinfandel wines. Each and every view you take in could have been captured on canvas.

Beautiful villa Anka
Have just returned from 10 days at villa anka, what can I say? The location is superb, the apartment itself is beautiful, Anna was so helpful nothing was to much trouble for her. The view from the balcony was wonderful, we spent parts of day day just watching the gorgeous yachts going past. The beach was at the end of the garden, the water was lclear as a bell and warm, also the water taxi was so close as well, nice restaurants close by, so our stay was wonderful we did not want to come home. Only down side was some of the beach beds were broken but other than that would recommend villa anka to our friends, stunning location and beautiful apartment we hope to come back. …

Apartment in the fortress on the sea
Beautiful little villa
We received a very warm and friendly welcome by Iris on our arrival. The villa was spotless with everything you required at hand. We spent many a morning and evening on the terrace enjoying the wonderful view. Iris gave us a few ideas about where to visit, our favourites were Trogir and the national park Krka. There are many places we didn't get chance to visit therefore we will definitely return some day.The villa is a great position with bars and restaurants in an easy walking distance.
Thank you to both Iris and Vedran for our little gifts of beer, chocolates, nibbles and home grown grapes...these little things mean so much. …
