About the home

The apartment Carpici is a spacious 3 bedroomed 3 bathroomed duplex apartment incorporating a king size master bedroom suite. It will accommodate 6 adults comfortably, or give families that extra space that is often lacking in holiday apartment accommodation.
The first floor living area opens out onto one of the most spectacular vistas in the Mediterranean day or night, a perfect spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Situated in a small select development above Kas, you are 10 minutes walk down to the harbor, the central square, the many excellent restaurants and bars, or Little Pebble Beach. The apartment is up above the noise and commotion of the town yet close enough to watch and hear the fishing boats entering and leaving the harbor.
The generous infinity pool has spectacular views, and is usually quite, even in peak season.
Our aim has been to provide a level of comfort and facilities we expect at home, with entertainment options for both children and adults.
Quite air conditioning units and quality beds will hopefully enable a good nights sleep.
Its the perfect place to chill out and relax by the poolside, watching the paragliders descend from the mountains behind Kas to the quay side below, or enjoy a cold glass of wine as you watch the magnificent sun sets across the peninsula and beyond from your balcony before venturing out to one of Kas's many excellent restaurants.

Sun beds with mattresses are provided by the pool.
Garden areas with a selection of Bougainvillea citrus fruit trees and shrubs.
Large pool side patio.
It is generally quite noise wise as you are up above the main town.
In the middle of summer, some may find the hill demanding, so we recommend either taking the car down the hill and parking it on the edge of town (1 minutes drive) or taking a Dolmus (Mini bus or Taxi) up the hill.
The pool does not have a shallow end, so foam floats are provided for those who are less confident in water.

A local English speaking agent will be available 7 days a week to deal with any questions or issues relating to the apartment, or to help with your holiday plans, they have an office right on the main square and a contact phone number will be provided with your arrival details.

Conditions

Strictly no smoking.
A refundable breakages deposit of £200 will be required with your final payment. This will refunded within 14 days of your holiday. No deductions from the deposit will be made without consultation with you before hand.
A deposit of 25% will be required within 48 hours of your booking request to secure your booking.
The full balance is payable 60 days before departure.
Payments can be made by credit or debit cards at no aditional cost.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The coastline surrounding Kas remains un spoilt by tourism, due in part to its distance from the airports and the mountainous terrain that rises straight out of the sea.
History is everywhere as you travel along the coast from the ruins at Xanthos, Letoon, and Patara, to Lycian tombs and the Roman amphitheater at Kas, the sunken city of Kekova and to Myra the home of Baba Noel or as we know him Father Christmas ( St Nicholas) who was once bishop of Myra.
A lack of sandy beaches and adjacent flat land has also helped preserve Kas from mass tourism. The town is very Turkish,and retains a friendly village atmosphere, where the locals sit out around the square and local children play by the harbor in the cool of the evening. English is widely spoken and understood nearly everywhere.
In early April, Late October and November you can experience some changeable weather, however you can also have long periods of warm 21-26c weather when its more like a really nice English summer and probably the best time of the year for serious sight seeing or walking the Lycian Way (Turkeys long distance coastal path).
The summer is long and can get quite warm in July and August, but situated up on the hillside above the town you can enjoy the full benfits of the gentle sea breeze as you sit on your balcony or relax by the poolside.

The Kas area

About Kas

Kas is a small friendly cosmopolitan holiday town that has grown up over the last 40 years from a quaint fishing village only accessible from the sea ,to a sophisticated seaside town which has retained its Turkish identity .
Located under the lower peaks of Mount Akdag (9,802ft), Kas is the jewel of the Turkish Riviera, a relaxed place, with lots of charm and character.
It provides an excellent base from which to discover the magnificent scenery and unique archaeological sites of the Lycian coast whether it’s the local Lycian tombs around Kas, the newly restored Roman Amphitheater on the edge of town, or the Sunken city at Kekova, where you can look down on the ruins of a once great city beneath the sea. There is something for everyone.
Kas is however still a working town, with all the shops, boutiques, bustling markets and restaurants that cater for tourists and locals alike.
The beaches in and around Kas tend to be pebbly rather than sandy and this combined with its historic lack of accessibility and the availability of flat land accessible to the sea, has meant that the mass tourism market has not taken hold, there are only a couple of medium sized hotels in Kas
A plush new marina and club has just opened on the edge of Kas, catering for everything from small day boats to Super Yachts..
Villas and apartments make up most of the available accommodation in the area and most apartments do not have access to a pool. The apartment Carpici not only has direct access to an infinity pool, it enjoys one of the Prime Locations in Kas.

Activities around Kas include:
Tandem Paragliding, a 40 minute trip down the mountain will cost you €90.
Boat Trips to Kekova Sunken City ( all day)
Sea Kayaking at Kekova.
Mountain Biking
Canyoning at Salkient Gorge.
Or for those of a different disposition a water taxi to Linimagzi Beach, a long lunch at the water side restaurant, sleeping it off in a shady hammock on the beach, while you get your strength back for the water taxi ride across the bay back to Kas.

Frequent flights are available to both Dalaman and Antalya from the beginning of April untill November. Thomas Cook Jet 2.com Easyjet Monarch are just a few of the operators. It is worth checking flight times and prices for both airports to get the best combination for your travel dates. Not everyone wants to arrive at 4.00am.
Dalaman is 2 hours away by car whilst Antalya is a 3 hour drive. Airport transfers can be arranged if required through our Agent in Kas.
Hiring a car in Turkey is straight forward and hire cars are maintained to a good standard. We recomend DLM car hire in Dalaman, they provide an efficient friendly service are competatively priced and have not let us down.
The drive from Dalaman is very straight forward, along the D400 coast road all the way from Dalaman to Kas.
The roads are well maintained and are being up graded to duel carriageway, which will soon link all the way to Feythie (1hour). Sat navs are not required. We will give you much more comprehensive directions on reciept of your final balance.

Extra charges. End of stay cleaning £40 and a laundry charge of £9 per person are on top of the weekly / nightly rate. Bath and Pool Towels are included.

For bookings of 14 days or more, a complimentary clean of the apartment and change of bedding and towels on day 7 are included in the booking price. End of stay charges are still payable.

A complimentary 20 ltr bottle of mineral water will be provided on the water cooler. Additional refills can be arranged with the agent at a nominal charge.

A deposit of 25% will be required within 72 hours of receipt of the invoice confirming the booking.

Payment for deposits and final balances can be made by debit or credit card through paypal. (You do not need a paypal account, simply follow the link on the invoice).

An invoice will be sent to your email address on confirmation of the booking with full payment details.

Payment of the final balance will be required 60 days before departure.
