Ford End Bed and Breakfast is in the traditional North Yorkshire village of Ampleforth, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. We are perfectly located for beautiful walks as well as for delicious meals in one of our two excellent village pubs.
Ford End House lies on the West End of Ampleforth where the beck passes under the road. The Bed and Breakfast accommodation is set back from the eighteenth century house, in the former stables.
'The Old Stables' accommodation is completely self-contained, allowing you to come and go as you please, with your own key to your own front door! The entrance opens into a hall, leading to a double bedroom with tv and breakfast area, and a shower room with underfloor heating.
The room is equipped with everything you need for your breakfast: cereals, bread/toast, jams, teas, fresh coffee, fresh fruit and a mini-fridge full of yoghurt, fruit juice, milk and butter. In addition, if you would like a cooked breakfast, this can be brought to your room at no further cost, and will normally involve eggs from our hens.
"Charming as ever. Beautiful and quiet...a little dream for a change in busy lives! Super breakfast too! Thanks a million."

"A little gem"
Comfortable and cosy, with private parking. Five minutes from Helmsley.
Lucy goes that extra mile to make it special, and nothing seems too much trouble.. Breakfast was delicious. The local pub is great for an evening meal. We stayed over the Christmas break and look forward to returning in the summer. Just brilliant.
