Barnwell Farm Cottages are situated on a quiet country road one mile from Strangford lough and 2 miles from the sandy beaches on the Irish sea coast. We have seven cottages ,of different sizes,Flax cottage the smallest sleeps 3 guests in 2 bedrooms,and Elm cottage the largest sleeps 7 in 3 bedrooms.

The County Down region

Barnwell farm cottages are situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Ards Peninsula,1 mile from Strangford lough and 1.5 miles from the sandy beaches on the Irish sea coast. We are only 6 mile from the most Easterly and driest part of Ireland.


The seven cottages are surrounded by green fields. We have 110 acres of farmland on which we have developed 5 farm trails over the fields with an abundance of wild life. A bird and badger hide form part of our farm trails.

We are very close to Strangford lough an celebrated area of outstanding natural beauty,and only 2 miles from sandy beaches on the Irish sea coast.
