About the home

The property is located a short 5 minutes walk from fabulous beaches of S.Lourenço (feels like a private beach), Galé and Salgados.
Villa Joya, the only 2 Star Michelin restaurant in the Algarve is only a short walk from the property and there are many beach restautants to choose from serving the best Portuguese cuisine.

A short drive from the property is the old town of Albufeira with many shops and restaurants, also the new town of Oura know as the 'strip' with the best night life in the Algarve.

Also close by are the best water parks and Zoomarine with Animal Attractions, Pools, Dolphins.

The small town of Guia is close by known as the home of Chicken Piri-Piri a speciality in Portugal.

For the youngest people thre are lots of attractions for day and night, such as: Zoomarine, Waterslide parks, Horse riding, Sea water Sports, 'The strip ' in Oura Beach, night clubs as Le Club in Santa Eulalia, Kiss and so many others that are easy to find when you there.
The Algarve coast is very nice admire from the sea, so you can easy find Boat/Catamaran excursions all day with lunch included and you will be able to see the caverns on the sea rocks made by the sea water and with some lucky dolphins.....these kind of trips are able to pratice from April to October.

The Gale Beach area

The beach is literally a 5 minute walk from the villa, with larger beaches to the right slightly, complete with sunloungers and umbrellas and some smaller coves and rock pools slightly to the left for the more adventurous. 3 very good beach bars are all immediately on the beach and perfect for breakfast lunch or dinner!
Salgados golf course - 1.5kms away from the villa
Gale itself is quite small however there are a number of very good restaurants; Villa Joya is a 2 Michelin Star Hotel just 5 minutes away - a bit pricey at 100 euros per head at lunchtime, but the meal itself was 9 courses and the food was absolutely divine - a must if you are visitng without children and enjoy eating out.
Other restaurants we tried included Lourenco which is just 15 minutes walk away - situated right on the beach with a fantastic view overlooking the sea; and Sao Dominico which is further into Gale and about a 25 minute walk;

Wild bird watch and photos taken from the new wooden pedestrian way of 2kms, on the top of the bayside salgados golf, very quiet area ad good for exercise you body too where you can breathe natural air.....enjoying the wild views.
A larger town of Abufeira is just a 10-15 minute drive, and a taxi will only cost 10-12 euros each way. Abufeira has a market and some small shops plus a larger selection of bars and restaurants. Other attractions include Aqualand which is a great waterpark 20 minutes drive away. Spain ian hours drive and the fishing village of Ayamonte is well worth visiting if you have time to drive over the border.
