The South East England region

The Sussex Heritage coast has something to offer everyone, young and old alike. The South Downs Way boasts famous beauty spots with fabulous views from Beachy Head and Birling Gap of the spectacular Seven Sisters Cliffs. Masses of history and culture on your doorstep in 1066 country. This is where the Normans invaded, and the famous Battle of Hastings took place. Historic houses such as Charleston, and the Monk's House at Alfriston are close by. Opera at Glyndebourne is within easy reach, or an even closer selection of theatres in Eastbourne. The observatory at Herstmonceux is well worth a visit, as are many castles such as Hastings and Bodiam. Steam enthusiasts will enjoy trips to the Bluebell Railway, and Kent and East Sussex Railway. There is so much to do and see you will need to come again and again.

Pevensey Bay and Eastbourne are on "The Sunshine Coast" . Pevensey Castle is a walk across the fields. Relax at Sovereign Harbour with its shops, restaurants and cinema as well as boat and fishing trips. A short drive away is the traditional seaside town of Eastbourne with its restored Victorian pier and camera obscura, theatres , tennis championships, and shops. Children will enjoy Drusillas Animal Park, Eastbourne Miniature Railway, the Sovereign Centre swimming pool, and pirate crazy golf. That's if you can tear yourself away from the peace and beauty of the beach and sea which are at the end of your garden.

"Great relaxing holiday"

Great holiday for all my family and the dog. With 6 beds, there was room for my family of 5 and even for a friend. Plenty to do and lots of lovely walks around the area. We could join the crowds down in Soverign Harbour or enjoy the quiet garden with the view of the sea. We enjoyed BBQs while the sun went down and with a large supermarket really close it made catering very easy.

"Comfortable cosy seaside holiday home in a beautiful location"

We had a lovely weeks holiday in this great location. The bungalow is nicely tucked away from other holiday homes. Just walk out of the back door and you are right on the beach and when looking out of the rear windows all you can see is the sea. Inside it has a nice nautical theme and is very comfortable and relaxing. If you do want to venture out by car, Eastbourne is just a short drive away also in the other direction is Bexhill and Hastings. I hope to return next year!
