About the home

This very well equipped apartment is on the third floor an attractive chalet set back from the road. The chalet is situated on the eastern side of Montana close to the centre of Crans Montana and is in a sunny position with stunning views south over the Alps and the Rhone Valley.

The resort offers many summer and winter activities. It takes three minute to drive to the town centre and cable car stations. There is a bus stop outside the chalet. Buses are free to and from the town and cable car stations. There is lift access and a locker room for skies and golf clubs on the ground floor. Approach to the chalet is possible all the year round and there are ample car parking spaces. A large grass area is ideal for children to sledge or play.

The Crans Montana area

Crans-Montana with its top class skiing and golfing facilities is probably the best known resort in this region. There are 140 km of pistes enjoyed by skiers and snowboarders alike. One of Europe's best golf courses along with two other smaller courses are a paradise for golfers. The choice of walks satisfy families through to trekking enthusiasts who want to enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery in bright sunshine. There are also many other summer and winter sports available and indeed any activity that a visitor would want to enjoy is most likely available

Visitors flying from UK normally arrive at Geneva International Airport which is two and a half hours by car. Easyjet run frequent flights from Gatwick. The train from the airport to Sierre takes two hours and twenty minutes. There is a regular bus service from the station which takes twenty minutes and it stops outside the chalet. The funicular from Sierre to Montana takes fifteen minutes. Since there are free bus services to the town and cable cars it is not essential to bring or hire a car, although a car is useful

“A BRILLIANT BASE FOR A SKIING HOLIDAY” The property is wonderfully situated for a skiing holiday (it is probably beautifully situated for any holiday but I was skiing). It has beautiful panoramic views across the valley to the spectacular Weisshorn (and just about every other 'horn') range of mountains. The apartment building is close enough to walk into the town yet far enough to be peacefully removed from the bustle of town life. The accommodation is perfect - very comfortable, practical, well appointed and everything works. The owners, David and Franziska Scotson, have overlooked nothing and have clearly taken great care to make the apartment have that warm homely feeling. A true home from home! The completely self contained two bed studio apartment attached is ideal for a couple and is a real bonus. I came away from my holiday with a firm desire to return to this lovely property.

“a very comfortable apartment with breath taking views” We frequently take our winter holidays in Crans-Montana with our three children and always choose to stay in Apartment 11, Lisière Sud A. The reason for this is that the apartment is close to the town and the ski lifts, very comfortable, fully equipped and has the most spectacular mountain views. We have no hesitation in giving our highest recommendation.

“A simply wonderful apartment - so well equipped, comfortable and a sensational view!” We have been to the apartment for a number of years and feel so at home there. The owners have made such an effort to equip the flat with everything you need. There is limitless hot water running very quickly, which is a wonderful welcome after a day of skiing! The open plan kitchen and living room makes it a very social flat which very much suits a holiday. There are two very clean bathrooms and two comfortable bedrooms with very good fluffy duvets and linen. The view from the apartment is stunning and having meals at the table looking out on the mountains is wonderful. On our last visit we took our baby daughter and the flat was very suitable. There was enough storage for all the extra baggage and we used the high chair. Crans Montana is our favourite resort - very good intermediate runs and good off-piste skiing. The owners were very accommodating and responsive. Delighted to recommend them and the apartment. We hugely look forward to returning next year!
