Why Swiss Alps?

Swiss Alps Holiday Rentals - Ski Apartments and Chalets in Swiss Alps

Characterised by majestic mountains, cool lakes, gorgeous countryside and stunning valleys, the Swiss Alps are a beautiful destination for those who love the outdoors. Hike, ski or eat your way through the region and discover all of the charming places within the area. Whether you're looking to go car-less at an apartment in Zermatt or escape in luxury to a St. Moritz ski chalet, there are lots of holiday rentals in the Swiss Alps to choose from.

When to visit the Swiss Alps

When you should visit the Swiss Alps depends on your preferred activities while on holiday. If you want to spend snowy days out on the slopes, visit from December to March. At this time of the year, places like St. Moritz and Zermatt are at their peak with world-class winter sports abound. Book a holiday rental in the Swiss Alps between June and September if you'd rather not have to bundle up to go outdoors. These summer months bring temperatures that hover around 25 degrees Celsius and the mountain passes are always open.

Things to do in Swiss Alps

Situated in the heart of Switzerland, the Swiss Alps is a vast and wildly popular alpine destination for travellers from around the world. During the warmer months, enjoy the fresh air while exploring the classic Swiss scenery. In Verbier, get your bearings by taking a guided bike tour through the mountains. Leave straight from your Swiss chalet and bike through the area until you're ready for wine and cheese at one of the bars in Verbier. If you're feeling adventurous, go paragliding in Locarno or climb to the top of the imposing surrounding mountains. Lake Lugano is another wonderful warm-weather destination in the Swiss Alps and taking a boat cruise across the lake is a must.

If you're visiting during the winter, take a ski or snowboard lesson at the Premier Alpine Centre in Nendaz. Afterwards, test your skills on the slopes of legendary mountains in the Swiss Alps. Davos is the highest city in Europe and has five incredible spots for skiing. In Zermatt, which sits at the base of the famed Matterhorn, ascend the mountain via cable car, funicular or gondola for awe-inspiring panoramic views.

Perfectly positioned in Switzerland, the Swiss Alps has a little bit of everything. Travel here during any season, and you're guaranteed to find something to see and do for everyone.

Lovely staff and amazing views

Loved the chalet, it has the most amazing view from the living area. It was perfect for our family. The chalet was very cozy and luxurious. The spa area downstairs was a real treat too, we had massaged by Lara daily. I would highly recommend it and also highly recommend Exceptional Villas … see more

An unbelievbly beautifull place

We stayed at Grant's appartment for 3 nights and we didn't want to leave. The view from the balcony was addictive, and the place was roomy and comfortable for a couple plus a 7 year old girl. Thank you. … see more

Great flat, fantastic skiing

I booked this accommodation for a family skiing holiday. Kieren was very helpful in booking our skiiing lessons and equipment, always prompt with his communication and very polite. The flat is in a shared chalet, it has an underground car park, but access is via a steep slope so in the snow you'll struggle to get out . The flat is really well equipped, plenty of everything, after a day on the slopes we were all ready to crash and watch a DVD. There are 3 bedrooms - mattresses are a bit firm for my liking, and 2 bathrooms one with a bath and the other with a walk-in shower. The flat is 5 mins walk from the ski chair lift, but you can also drive down and park next to the lift. Morgins is pretty quiet, a couple of super markets and a few restaurants. However, a quick ride down to Chatel in France which is a much more lively place. As for the skiing, Morgins is part of Portes du Soleil region, it's a great location for all levels. We all really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be looking to stay again. see more

Comfortable, spacious and well-organised

While we did not get our original apartment due to an admin mishap, Guy seemlessly upgraded us to another, bigger, lovely apartment, and between them him and Becky were very helpful in terms of organisation and tips. I would definitely go back. … see more

Amazing Experience

We recently stayed at Chalet Nicola for a 7 night break as a party of 16 people - 8 adults and 8 children. The chalet is amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. It is very spacious, extremely well equipped and the facilities are superb. The steep hill up to the chalet could be a little challenging but the stunning views more than compensated for this. I can not think of anything negative to say and would strongly recommend this accommodation. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to visit again. see more
