My girfriend I stayed here during the first week of September. We travelled from the UK across the plains of France from Calais. It took us about 10 hours including stops and so the apartment is easily accessed from France and the UK if you plan to take the car. As you drive up the valley Les Naturelles is one of the first apartment blocks that you see as you come into Leukerbad. It is dead easy to find! The gentleman on reception spoke several languages and was very friendly and accomodating. He explained all sorts of information about the apartment and Leukerbad itself which was really helpful. The apartment itself was immaculate and the views from the balcony were stunning. You could easily sit there all day with a glass of wine. The apartment was really spacious and well equipped, making it easy to cook meals in the kitchen etc. WiFi access was easy to sort out. The beds and bedding all sorted out on arrival meant it felt more like a hotel than a self-catering apartment! Our stay was made much easier by not having the onus of cleaning the apartment at the end. I was impressed with the underground car parking. Given we had driven so far it was good to know that our car was secure at night! We found Leukerbad itself to be very quaint. A mixture of languages seem to be spoken and knowing a little French and German will put you at an advantage. If you are driving down and staying for over a week then it is worth taking some essentials with you. The supermarkets in town are well stocked but more expensive than the hypermarkets down in the valley or France. A trip up the Gemmi and Torrent Bahn's are well worth undertaking even if hillwalking isn't your thing. There are well laid trails which mean you can access well located cafe's and restaurants for refreshments etc. Overall, a great apartment in a stunning location! …
Great little apartment. Very well equipped
Very nice, clean apartment. Plenty of storage space. Very well equipped kitchen with lots of utensils etc. with 2 very young children who are fussy eaters, we were self catering most days and we had everything we needed, down to peelers and colanders and can openers etc. views were lovely. town is a 5 min walk away. Really good value for money. I thought cleaning costs were a bit steep but then the bedding and linen etc were all clean and fresh so can't complain. We couldnt find any english tv channels but there might have been one or two - we were too lazy to ask reception. staff at reception were very helpful in getting us familiarised with the area. We had a great time visiting all the spas and going up the cable cars. The owner provided an extremely comprehensive guide for the apartment, the complex, the town and the general area which was highly useful, given that most places had only German and French leaflets etc. had a lovely time. Would definitely go back. …
Loved the stay on this chalet
We have been in Leukerbad with all the family together with our grandson. We stayed for three weeks and surprisingly liked it very much even the weather was not good all the time.
But the goal of Leukerbad of course thermal baths which was known by Romans 2000 years ago. So even with not much snow for skiing we had lots of wellness each day
At the same time everything is opened - clinics, massages, fisiotherapists, restaurants. We didn't use it much accept the restaurants. We love Les Sources des Alpes for fine dining. Wildhous Grichting is always very good for different meals. We like very much Romerhof for the best pizza in town and delicious trout. You can't skip Walliser Kanne for meat on the hot stone specially "cheval". Everything goes well with local walisser wines which we only drink here.
And the last but not least - the first time we stayed in the Chalet which is called Klibenstrasse and found it very comfortable and cost effective. We paid much less than for a hotel and had everything we need. The Chalet is very cosy, not big but good enough to accommodate 5 or even 6 people. The master bedroom is very specious and nicely decorated. The old style hi-end system produce beautiful sound. Bathrobes and towels are of excellent quality. Two other bedrooms are very comfortable too. Everything is clean and we'll prepared. The living area is huge, has a lot of facilities including brand new TV and home theater from Harmon Cardon. The kitchen and washing equipment is absolutely acceptable. Nice terrace could be best place for breakfast or lunch.
The Chalet is slightly up in the mountain above the town. It's the best location in Leukerbad. All locals prefer to have their houses in that area. The reasons are the best view ( you can see the village, the valley and part of the French Alps on the other side ) and more sunny hours …
