A traditional stone house in a very freindly village in the northern Tuscany. The house has wounderful veiws of the valleys and mountains beyond. The house is architect-restored, with stone walls, teracotta floors and beamed cellings.

It`s stylish furnished with beds, sofa and garden furniture chosen for comfort. Relax in sitting-room with music, or gazing at the view from the terrace.

Sleeping up to six in great comfort, the house is spacius for sharing with freinds/family or an romantic retreat. Kitchen, dining area, living-room, toilet, direct exit to the terrace on first floor. On second floor, three bedrooms with comfortable doubelbeds in each and an bathroom. The main entrance is on the first floor.

In summer, sunbath, sit and read, laze and gaze at the veiw, barberque and watch the stars. There are lots of local fairs and food festivals to enjoy, with concerts under the stars. Head up to the mountain lakes or down to the seaside if you want a change of scene...tough many guests simply relax thoroughly because here time stands still.

In Apr/May and Sep/Oct there`s wonderful weather for walking in the woods and hills, and pottering around enchanting little towns and castels. Enjoy spring flowers, autumn leaves, dine by candelight.

All year around, you can sample superb local food and wine in numerous excellent restaurants, and buy great ingredients for cooking at home from local suppliers. Pisa, Lucca, Italian Riviera less then an hour away and Florence, Cinque Terre, Siena, Volterra are all easy day trips.

Staying here offers a real taste of rural Italian life. We think the house is most suitable for people who are looking for a peaceful holiday in a family home, who will enjoy the chance to live in a Italian village and explore an unspoilt part of Tuscany with deep-rooted and many local traditions.

The Tuscany region

The province of Lucca is the northern part of Tuscany, this is fairly mountainous country and for that reason far less spoilt. There are dozens of fascinating mediavel villages perched up high in the hills above the valley.

During the months of June, July and August the wheather is nromaly consistenly hot with temperatuers frequently going around 30C. April and May the most beautiful months with mild to warm temperatures an and abundance of spring flowers, acacia blossom and the scent of flowers. September can suit those who prefer slightly coller summer temeratures before autumn sets in.

Borgo a Mozzano

Close to Oneta is the medieval town Borgo a Mozzano only 20 minutes north of the provincal capital Lucca. It is small enough not to have a parking problem and large enough to have all the facilities of a normall town including three banks, a supermarket with delicatessen, four restaurants, a post office, railway station, police station, tourist office, public tenniscourt and swimmingpool, all the normal shops and a lot of public activities such as, in the spring an azalea festival, in the summer open air opera an a July beer festival, while in autumn there is a Halloween festival ( one of the largets in Europe ).
