About the home

Comfortable, cozy, modern, bright apartment in a quiet but central Bansko location suitable for couples, families, and groups. Only 2 minutes walk to Bansko town centre where you can visit traditional Mehanas (tavern/restaurant) and aprés-ski venues in the historic cobble-stone streets. High quality furnishings throughout ensure your stay will be in absolute comfort. The apartment is an ideal base for sharing couples, a family or a group.

Group of up to 20 can easily be accommodated between our apartment and additional 2 and 3 bed apartments in the same building.

Relaxing facilities (sauna, steam room) are available in the basement of the building. A feature of the building is the large common social area with kitchen and bar facilities and large open fireplace where you can relax with your companions or fellow holidaymakers in a relaxing and friendly atmosphere after a busy day hitting the slopes, sightseeing or hiking!

Ski gondola is only 3 minutes by skibus shuttle, or alternatively a 10 minute walk.

Just book your flight and we can organise everything else including airport transfers, ski hire & ski school!

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region

Nestled between the Pirin, Rila & Rhodope mountain ranges, the ancient town of Bansko is located at the foot of the Pirin National Park - this unique environment is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural and National Heritage site. The beauty in this area can be enjoyed during all seasons and offers a variety of activities.

Pirin is noted for its rich flora and fauna. Much of the area is forested, with the best conifer woods in Bulgaria, holding important populations of the Balkan endemic species Macedonian Pine, Bosnian Pine and Bulgarian Fir. Animals include the Wolf and the Brown Bear.

The Bansko / Glazne area

Bansko is the newest and the most rapidly developing ski resort in Bulgaria. 40 million Euro has been invested creating state of the art ski lifts, electronic ski pass system, snow canons, and new gondola, whilst still retaining the atmosphere of the ancient Bulgarian small town. Fantastic, child friendly (English speaking) ski and Snowboard schools for all levels of ability. Bansko has the best snow record and the longest ski season (mid Dec - mid May) of all Bulgarian ski resorts. Snow cannons (there are 160) cover most of the slopes and make the ski season last even longer. The slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers and will suit both beginners and experts.

There are 14 pistes totalling 65km, including a unique 16-kilometre uninterrupted skiing, starting from Todorka Peak at the highest point of the ski centre all the way to base station of the Gondola, a 7km floodlit run direct to Gondola, cross country and excellent off piste skiing. Top class snowboarding facilities including a funpark and halfpipe.

Bansko provides an interesting combination of natural beauty mixed with the unique atmosphere of an ancient Bulgarian town with old cobblestone streets and traditional taverns (Mehanas). Apres-ski is friendly, Bansko's nightlife is excellent with nightclub, bars and restaurants. The Mehanas offer great inexpensive local cuisine (grilled lamb, sausages and delicious shopska salad) and live folk music. There is even a casino, bowling alley and ice rink.

Bansko is a great place for families. The resort offers a ski and non-skiing kindergarten located by the bottom station of the Gondola lift. Children from 3-6 yrs. inc. are welcome at the club, where supervised activities are provided. For children 4-7 years, the package includes daily tuition (2 hours per day), skis, boots, lift pass (to the snow club only) and daily activities including outside snow fun!

Bansko is not only a great ski resort, but in the summer hosts one of Europe's largest International Summer Jazz Festivals, Bulgarian Folk Festival and many other cultural events. During the summer months Bansko is popular with visitors for white water rafting, canoeing, paragliding, mountain biking, horse riding, walking and trekking, mountain lake fishing, and shortly opening a golf course designed by Ian Woosnam. The nearby village of Banya, located only 5 km from the town, is known for its 27 thermal mineral springs.

South of Bansko is the Pirin National Park which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and hosts bears, wolves and many rare species.

“Really high quality apartment is good location for town / shops” I travelled alone with three children, and having nothing but good things to say. Ger so helpful in giving information, management services met us a property to give keys, caretaker was so helpful at giving us lifts to the gondola station, the apartment spotless clean, washing machine clean smelly ski boot socks. The town centre was really close with really good food at silly cheap prices, the property was very close to Bansko's biggest supermarket for those needs of fussy eaters. Having the bath was great to ease all their aches and pains. Response: Really glad you enjoyed the apartment and your holiday over Easter so much. We do try our best to ensure our guests have a hassle-free stay in a comfortable and well equipped apartment. Hopefully we see you again next year!

“Home from home, warm & comfortable, perfect place to stay after a day on the slopes!” We loved the apartment, had everything we needed. Supermarket nearby and some great value restaurants about 10 min walk. “great value, lots of snow” There was unusual cold in Bulgaria this year so the electric heaters failed to warm up an appartment for the first three days. Watch up forecast or ask to switch it on two days before your arrival. Cozy appartment good for companies up to 5. Take some rakia for the evening get some logs, ask reception for communal fireplace to be prepared and realize it was the best way to spent money. Very friendly and helpful service. Be ready that it will take some time to get to the lift (20 min avg.). No problems with parking. Good wi-fi. The owner is responsible and responsive (thank you Gerard). Response: We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. It was exceptionally cold at that time in Bulgaria and our local property management company received widespread reports of cold properties across Bansko that week as it was so unusually cold. However we are glad that you decided to use the communal log fireplace, defintely makes for a very cozy night in! Thanks for complimenting the building staff, we are very lucky to have them and all the guests remark about their friendliness and helpfulness. Hopefully we'll see you next year if you come back to Bansko.

“Lovely modern apartment close to Bansko's old town” My husband & I stayed here in January with 2 friends of ours and had a great time. The apartment is nicely decorated, very warm and comfortable. It is located really near the old town which is great for going out at night. We ate out most nights but we stayed in and cooked a couple of nights too. I'd definitely recommend the traditional Bulgarian restaurant around the corner from the apartment. There was traditional dancing the night we were there so that was a novelty. There's lots of bars & restaurants/taverns to choose from in the old town. Prices are so reasonable. For skiing we had to get transport to the ski gondola. There is a lovely local guy Raicho and his wife who manage the building and Raicho brought us to and from the ski gondola everyday which was great. Very cheap too! The skiing conditions were good and we got reasonably priced ski hire. So all in all a fab ski holiday.

“very comfortable apartment with very helpful staff” I stayed here in February for a skiing trip. The apartment was very comfortable and had all the mod cons you would expect. The sauna and jacuzzi in the basement were great after a tough day on the slopes. It was our first stay in Bansko so we were glad to have the support of the property manager. They were happy to arrange eveything for us and had good advice in terms of ski hire and where to eat/drink in Bansko. The apartment is close to the center which makes it very convenient for going out at night. Overall we had a great holiday in Bansko with some good sking, a nice apartment and prices tha didn't break the bank.

“Tidy apartment, close to the old town” I had a great stay at this appartment. We had 6 people in our party which although fitted well, it's possibly a little small for this size and more for a party of 4. No sauna working at the time, but I'm sure it's all fixed now. If needed a cheap transport to the slopes were provide by a lovely local couple. Would definitely recommend staying here.
