The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
Pinin Mountain is the second highest mountain in Bulgaria and the most beautiful. The skiing winter season is long (Dec-April) The summers are hot, and September and October are especially good for hiking, mountain biking etc.
As well as the obvious attractions, there are the numerous caves, natural rock formations, traditional villages, spa resorts and dozens of historical places of interest, such as the famous Rila monastery.

How to get there
British Airways, Wizzair and Bulgaria Air all have regular flights to Sofia, the flight is 2 hours 45min. Bansko is about 150km south of Sofia. It is easy to hire a car from the Airport. Alternatively. we can organise your transportation to and from Bansko at a very reasonable price.
