“Amazing Experience” Having been to Yalikavak before I thought I knew where we were going to be staying. It was further out than my mind had told me, but this caused us no issues at all what so ever. I arrived with 3 of the children to stay for 2 weeks before my husband and eldest joined us for a further week. To be a woman alone here, caused us no problems, I felt safe, well looked after and happy. The Villa is great, helped by a second bathroom. My only negative observation, was having to use all three bedrooms, I took the downstairs bedroom as the protector- it was made up of two singles pushed together- it didn't ruin my holiday or put me off returning, I just would of preferred the double to be downstairs. The view is simply stunning, a short hilly walk takes you to the private beach, made up of locals and limited English people- gorgeous. I don't like the Brit abroad experience of English and beer everywhere- if that's what you are looking for this is not the location for you. I do not drive whilst in Turkey, I use the local Dolmus- easy, easy, easy. It stops every even hour outside the complex and every odd hour just up the road- it takes you in to the main town, you can easily hop over to another Dolmus to get to other locations- fairly priced, regular simple. It gives the kids another dimension to their holiday too. I would advise taking a photo of the front of the bus to remind you which one you need for your first few goes though! Back to the ~Villa, it was spacious clean and really nicely kept. The area is as said simply stunning so peaceful, view to die for. I made use of the washing machine and washing line as our stay was so long- I felt at home and would of happily stayed for the whole summer. Nothing not to like about the Villa, the area etc. A lot of negative views on holidaying somewhere like Turkey, but Yalikavak is so quiet and peaceful everybody is friendly and helpful, the town is not full of shops- Bodrum for that, which is a short Dolmus away. We did it a few times and had wonderful days out, but were happy to return to the peace of our villa. Our favourite hangout in the day if not at the local beach or pool was in Yalikavak at the surf shack, where the boys enjoyed paddle boarding, really chilled out atmosphere, they even got to be part of their promotional video. The local beach has a restaurant which is great for food and cheap. Plenty of local supermarkets - get a discount card on your first day it saves you loads. The Marina in Yalikavak is 'the St Tropez of Turkey', loads of mega yachts down there, allegedly famous peoples too- whatever its a visual experience, and some very expensive shops too. Walk along to the old town and that's where you find the within budget locations, surf shack, Dedes and the Secret garden- two of our favourite restaurants. All in all one of my best holidays ever and would without hesitation return to both Turkey and this Villa in particular.

“Family friendly, relaxing and modern villa” We loved the Lazy Dayz villa in Yalikavik. It was spacious, modern and well set up for families with young children. The different levels offered some privacy and lots of shade (and sun if you wanted it!). The villa itself was well maintained and the villa manager was extremely helpful whenever we needed assistance. This is the perfect villa for a trip where you just want to lounge by the pool and relax. The only draw back is that it is not walking distance to local shops/restaurants especially if you have small children. We ended up needing to take minibuses whenever we left to allow for space for multiple adults and carseats. A rental car (or multiple rental cars) is suggested.

“Fabulous - we'll be back!” On entering the villa, the first thing that strikes you are those incredible, uninterrupted views of the Agean and across the bay to the yachts in the marina - absolutely breathtaking! The villa itself is very spacious, set on three levels, with three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. this means that 3 couples or a large family can be accommodated here very comfortably. The whole place is very stylishly appointed, with all the facilities you could ever want. You can tell the owners have put a great deal of thought into it (we particularly liked the electric curtains in the master bedroom!). The private pool at the villa was plenty big enough for us but there is a larger communal pool if you prefer. We love the town of Yalikavak, the new marina and all it has to offer, from traditional family-run restaurants to high class dining on the waters edge. What ever you prefer, this villa is ideally situated just outside the hustle and bustle but within a 5 minute drive, or dolmas ride (bus stops just outside the villa). Anyway, I think you get the drift - this place is very good indeed.

Golden Sunset Residence Bodrum (Yalikavak)
Fantastic seaview and lovely house

We rented this house for 11 days. Everything about the booking was just perfect, and the communication with owner just perfect. Nice and clean house with the most fantastic seavieaw. Everything is Nice and clean in the compound. Super pool area just 50 meters from house. You have an amazing view when you are swimming in the pool. Car is needed. Camel Beach 20 minuts by car is a wonderfull sandy beach an the Best beach We Found. You pay 50 TL each person, But you then get to eat and drink for this payment. The beach in Gundogan (10 minuts by car) is also Nice, But not as sandy as Camel Beach. The place is perfect for trips to Yalikavak (you must visit the new Marina), Bodrum and Gumusluk. We really enjoyed our holiday in this house and would love coming back again.see more
Leyla's Place
Highly recommended

We have stayed at Leyla’s Place for the last four years, with a minimum stay of 10 days, having always enjoyed our holidays there. This year we booked our holiday via Annie at Peninsula Villas, for ten days in July. The booking and payment process was straightforward. Leyla’s Place is located between Yalikavak and Gundogan. It is in a beautiful position, on a hillside, overlooking Yalikavak - with amazing sea views and sunsets! From the villa, we have visited Ephesus on a day trip, explored some of the closer Greek Islands and this year we spent three days in Istanbul before flying down to Milas and on to the Villa. Although off the beaten track, the villa is approached along an unmade road which is easy to negotiate. It is only a short drive to the local supermarkets and bakery. The house itself is a large multi-level traditional stone family villa with all amenities and everything you would need for a wonderful self-catering holiday. There is a well equipped kitchen, a large homely furnished living area and comfortable bedrooms, with fans and some air conditioning. We enjoyed meals on the veranda, overlooking the beautiful gardens and the surrounding landscape. Our days were spent relaxing by the well maintained pool with a plethora of loungers, cushions, a hammock and sufficient shade to avoid the mid-day heat. The caretaker, Aytekin, was friendly, courteous and always helpful; providing us with fresh fruit and vegetables from the villa’s gardens and offering to prepare a BBQ. His wife cooks delicious local meals on request for a small fee. Yalikavak is a small town with lots of restaurants, serving traditional food. It has a lovely old harbour and a new Palmarina with a large selection of designer shops, bars and restaurants. There is a local, vibrant market on Thursdays. We had a wonderful holiday and couldn’t fault anything. We plan to book again for 2016, but for a longer period next time.see more
Villa Joy
Fabulous

I found the property on Owners Direct and the contact was Annie at Peninsular Villas. We had no issues booking and had very prompt correspondence all by email. I was a little concerned over the £350 security deposit as we have fallen foul to this before (not with this company) but we had no issues. The villa is fantastic and we would never tire of the spectacular views, the stone seating area is perfect for an evening drink watching the sunset, which we did every night we were there it was heavenly. The pool is beautifully designed and it must be down to the design that prevented any insects from floating around in the pool. The pool was checked daily by a very discreet and polite chap. The villa manager Pascale was very helpful and gave us some great restaurant suggestions. We had a very small issue with bedding which she dealt with within 24 hours. We spent little time inside the villa but the air con was great when required. It's very stylish and well equipped with good quality appliances, the water cooler was great and replacement bottles were delivered to our door for 7TL. Good wifi. Great terrace for all meals and comfy sofa and chairs. We used the bbq regularly. Yalikavak and Gumusluk are very different but definitely worth visiting, you really need to like fish in this area, which we love and the restaurant Gumusluk Balik Evi was great, you choose your fish from the fish market attached to the restaurant (apparently he supplies most restaurants in the area) and they charge an extra 5TL to cook it, I would definitely recommend a car. Would love to return to this villa next yearsee more
Lazy Dayz LUXURY BODRUM YALIKAVAK Villa with Private Pool and Sea Views
Lovely villa with great views

Our group of 3 couples stayed at Lazy Dayz for 2 weeks. The accommodation is ideal, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which is not easy to find. The villa is well equipped and nicely furnished. The outside space is exceptionally good with plenty of shady seating areas and a nice pool. There are great views over the bay. We had a few issues with water pressure but Sara, the local manager, was extremely efficient and helpful and got the problem resolved. Although the area is more built up than we expected, the road is quiet and it is only a few minutes drive into Yalikavak. There are plenty of restaurants and beach clubs within easy reach. We booked through a very helpful Annie at Peninsular Villas and would happily do so again.see more
Aegean 220 Family Holiday Villa. Yalikavak Bodrum
Great place to stay in Turkey near the Mediterranean

We stayed at Aegean 220 for a week in October 2015 with another couple. The villa is a haven of tranquility and the views are priceless from every level. We found ourselves hanging out at the villa most of the time enjoying its views, private pool and excellent amenities. The villa is well equipped with everything we wanted, including a French Press coffee maker, hair dryers and a safe. We were very comfortable and the area was very private. The villa provided free network WIFI and two smart TVs so we were able to use our flash drives for movies. We rented a car and the fishing village of Yalikavak was only five minutes away. It's a must to see and stroll the streets of this village. We took the owner's recommended daily boat trip with Captain Izzet and it was the best day ever. Sunning and swimming while lunch was being prepared for us and what a lunch. Words cannot describe this experience, you just have to do. Every Thursday is market day and it's packed with fresh fruits, vegetables, olive oil, spices and carpets. It was right out of an Aladdin story, see the picture. We only scratched the surface on this holiday. We plan on a two week stay in 2016. Our decision to choose this villa was swayed by its previous reviews which are spot on. Our hats our off to Annie at Peninsula Villas for a seamless booking, Hurdem who was only a phone call away if we needed assistance, Captain Izzet for a splendid boat trip and the owners for creating such a magical place to visit. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!see more
