“Beautiful setting, great hosts, just a few niggling issues” Simon and his family make for great hosts. They are warm and welcoming and try their best to meet their guests needs while running the farm and keeping track of their kids. Our expectations were overall well met, the rooms were well equipped, the kitchen is large and is equipped for the 14 persons we brought, including the wonderful large square kitchen table. The pool while relatively small was able to accommodate the 6 children, ages 9-18, we brought along and the setting, particularly at sunset with a glass of wine was to die for. The dinner at Podere was excellent, plenty of wine, food and conversation. The only small shortcomings were the need for various insect repellant devices, nets, candles etc., and the make shift nature of the grill. Otherwise the wine and particularly the olive oil are so good you have bring some home. Overall a great location and set up for a larger group that enjoys cooking together and organizing itself. Location can't be beat.
