Romania has much to offer the traveller, with stunning mountainous landscape and picturesque villages which offer a glimpse of how life has been lived for centuries past. Bucharest, the capital city, has numerous museums and art galleries, and is a great place to sample the lively nightlife and traditional Romanian cuisine. The east coast offers holiday beaches by the Black Sea, while Transylvania is a fairy-tale land famous for Count Dracula and sleepy Medieval villages.

An ideal base for exploring Sibiu
A stylish apartment in the old town, just a couple of minutes' walk from the main squares. The apartment is very well-appointed with a modern feel, without losing the character of the old city. …
Grand Accommodation - Cismigiu Apartment
Bucharest cismigiu apartments.
We had a great time. The apartment was clean and hosts were great. Rooms a brilliant size and facilities were all in working order. The only problem was the shower! We found it hard to get warm water. It was either red hot or cold no middle temperature for more than a minute. …
Great location, plenty of space for a family and friends.
Outside needs a bit of work but a great stay. …
Cosy villa in idyllic mountain village, perfect base for day trips and hiking
Rural Romanian get-away, perfect for family reunion
We spent one week with a group of 11 in this house in July/August 2017. Our host Iona was very quick to respond and help from the very start of the booking process to our final check-out. Don't hesitate to ask her about the many interesting day trips in the region: Leasurly walks in the valley, short hikes in the surrounding hills and ambitions hiking tours in the Bucegi mountains are all very accessible from Moieciu de Sus. Be aware that driving out to the main road at Bran takes about 20 minutes along a beautiful, winding country lane. Day trips by car to Brasov, Sighisoara, Sinaia etc. are definitely doable, but involve a good deal of driving.
The house itself is located towards the rear of the village with little traffic. At night, the sound of the small creek is the loudest sound around. The villa has 6 double rooms with their own baths and showers, making it perfect for several couples/families. The two top-floor mini-apartments are quite spacious. The big downstairs dining area and especially the big patio (with barbeque!) in the garden are nice for dining in a big group. The house is modern and stylish, even though some furnishings have a slightly "cheap" feel. The only thing we lacked in creature comfort was a dishwasher for cleaning dishes after a big Romanian fest.
Would definitely recommend this place for groups of 8 - 12 people looking to spend some quality get-away time and exeprience rural Transylvania. …
Carpathian Log Home
Most memorable holiday ever
All the family, ages 7 - 70 years loved this holiday! The house, the country, the people, the views, all outstanding. The house has all mod cons and nothing is too much trouble for the owners. Beautiful views. Lots of places to visit. We loved feeding the dog! You must go to Bucegi and on the cable car. The views are spectacular! Awesome holiday. …
Lovely well equipped and very clean cottage
Lovely cottage, well equipped, comfortable and very clean. The garden is beautiful very secluded and equipped with a brick barbecue and plenty of seats. Madalin, who speaks excellent English was very helpful, as were his parents who live in the adjacent property. Only about 35 minutes walk from the centre and just five minutes from local shopping complex. The cottage also benefited from an excellent satellite television, which if you spend a few nights in is great because many of the films are in English. Brasov is well worth a visiting, surrounded by beautiful scenery, lots to do in the centre as well as being within easy reach of Bran, and Peles castle both a must see. …
