Lovely Flat in the Centre of Porto
Lovely apartment in Porto

This lovely apartment is beautiful, light and sunny. The layout is well thought out and finished to a high standard. It is clean and tidy and smelled beautiful. There is an enclosed terrace which overlooked the rear of other apartments and the back gardens. However we didn't see anyone and it was very quiet Laura was fantastic from the outset. She responded to my email enquiries promptly and she was extremely helpful providing information to help Us plan our holiday Upon arrival Laura was there to greet us. We were blown away by her generosity and kindness. she had left organic fruit and vegetables from her own garden for us to use, and a bottle of port for us to try. She explained how everything worked, how to find the supermarkets and she answered all our questions. The apartment is in a quiet residential part of Porto, 5 mins walk from the tourist shopping area and national theatre. There is a metro stop nearby but we never used this. It is worth noting that the port is at the bottom of a hill. We could not face the uphill walk after our meal so caught a taxi €7. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would love to return to Porto again. I would not hesitate to recommend Laura's lovely apartment … see more

Excellent apartment

We stayed in Wine Apartments 2 for 4 nights recently.The location is superb and the apartment is very comfortable,spacious and well equipped.There are excellent restaurants in the square...we ate at LSD and Galeria do Largo(part of the new hotel)....and our favourite Tapas bar was Taberna do Largo(in the right hand corner) .Here we sampled some excellent wines and cheeses and were welcomed each evening by Luis.Being in a busy square there is obviously going to be some noise at night but we slept well and found the bed very comfortable. Perfect location, great to explore Porto

This was a great rental. Out of our four rentals for the vacation this was the only one that provided a map and suggestions for the area. Excellent apartment close to centre of Porto

The apartment was centrally located and close to all amenities. We received a very friendly welcome from the manager who provided us with essential information regarding our stay in the apartment and in Porto. Although located in an old building, the apartment has undergone extensive and architecturally innovative renovation and contains modern amenities . Excellent kitchen. The small balcony off one of the bedrooms was a great place for al fresco dining. One of the bathrooms is a tight squeeze but manageable. There is no parking available in the street but Pedro organises car parking in the nearby car park. I would definitely recommend this apartment for those looking for comfort, space and location. Apartment with fantastic views over Douro river
Gem of a find in Porto

For a start the apartment has great views over the River Douro. It has everything you need for a city break. There is a lounge area with all mid cons and a very comfortable sofa bed. There is a small well equipped kitchen area which is separated from the lounge with a breakfast table with 2 chairs. The bedroom is very comfortable with two wardrobes and a patio door out to a garden balcony. This had lovely sun in the morning. The shower room was well equipped too. The best part of the apartment though was the terrace off the lounge. It was big enough to eat at the table and it had lovely views of the river. There are restaurants very close by and it was about a gentle 10 minutes to the Ribeira area with lots of bars and restaurants. The old trolley bus to the coast ran outside the apartment block and took about 20 mins. I would recommend the open top bus on arrival in Porto as it allows you to get your bearings. The only downside to the apartment was that it was at the top of the building which was 4floors up and there is no lift. This didn't bother us but may hinder anyone who is not so able.
